How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Only cold breakfast.

We received an early morning call by mistake, the staff apologised profusely.
Such lovely welcoming staff ready to make our stay a comfortable one. Our room was perfectly quiet even though the airport is a few minutes walk away and there is building work nearby (May 25). The rooms are exceptionally clean and beautifully decorated. We slept really well, enjoyed breakfast and even received a farewell gift of traditional Portuguese cake.

Room a bit cramped. A bit inconvenient to walk to the airport when it is raining, so an Airport Shuttle should be introduced in such situations.
Near the airport, nice and polite staff. Comfortable beds.

There was no shuttle to the airport. Not a big deal for me as all I had was a backpack but someone with 2 bags might find the walk to the airport challenging.
It was very close to the airport which was my primary reason for choosing it as I had an extremely early flight.

The room was quite small and noisy at times. The windows were looking on dumpsters on the street so I just kept the drapes on. The bed was ok but the sheets had a bit of a strong laundry chemical smell which made it less comfortable for me personally.
Very practical stay if you need to spend the night close to the airport, since it's a walking distance from here. Easy check-in, the staff was very kind and helpful. The reception is open 24/7 which is nice.

There was this "fragrance" machine that was plugged in the room that was emitting non-natural scent that are toxic, especially bad for the endocrine system.
Everything was like in the pictures and bio of the place. Lovely reception and service throughout the stay.

The ventilation in the room is limited; the bathroom stayed damp for a long time.

I was in Porto on business and needed a hotel close to the airport and rental cars. Hotel Singular was a 5 minute walk from the airport, and very easy to get into Porto city centre, so it was very convenient for me. The staff are all very friendly and the room was small, but had everything I needed for a comfortable stay. I would come again on my next trip.

There is nothing what I didn’t like.
Cleanliness. It was quite and convenient place to stay for me with good service despite as not great English at reception. Was very friendly and welcoming staff despite coming not in a very good time (late at night I’ve had arrived due to bus delays)

Small room, but all what needed available. quite cold in the winter but with air conditioning heating it was okay.

The hotel is not well insulated and you get a lot of noise from the airport and the road nearby.
The hotel is located just 10 min away from Botica metro stop and 5 min away from the airport. The rooms are very big and they even have a garden if you wish to go for a smoke or something. They can also give you plates and cutlery in case you want to order food by your own. At the chck-out, at 04:00, they even gave me a pastry to take away, as I could not have breakfast at that time
