This is probably the most western localization in Madeira! Stunning sunset spot on our balcony! The room nice, clean and spacious and the most welcoming host!

Breakfast was a bit plain but perfectly sufficient for a few nights. Maybe it'll be better once the kitchen renovation is finished.

The beds were a little older so not as comfy as we would have wished.

Very nice staff, always fast at breakfast, great coffee in the morning. The view was exceptional - we saw the light house from our balcony. Peaceful, quiet.

paid extra for room with a balcony which from pictures had table and chairs out on it but in reality was just a Juliette type so could only open the door and not sit out. Room stated a kettle but we had to go and ask for one and were given no cups etc.

View from room, hotel right on front. Breakfast was very good, with selection of fresh fruit salad, cakes cold meats etc. Unfortunately most of the hot items were actually cold. What we didn't know was you could request pancakes and other hot items to be cooked for you. Alas the waiters did very little to tell you anything or the clear used plates from your table.

No bath plug and room felt a little damp in the morning. But it was still great value for money and I would stay there again.

The room is la little bit colder and they do not have all the time hot water (we had only 1 of 2 days hot water)

The location is very good, you can see the ocean from the balcon. The staff is very friendly, the breakfast is good! The room is big and the place is very nice.

Basic things missing - kettle but no coffee/tea, would rather have a double than two singles pushed together, no hand soap, thinnest towels you've ever seen in your life. Free breakfast is at best, basic. Some bread, ham, cheese, and fruit on plates.

Excellent value for money and exactly what it says on the tin - nice view, friendly owner, very rural. Lovely cafe (Gato Legal) 15 mins walk away (very uphill). Views at the lighthouse are great. Good base if you want to go for walks on the west coast. Restaurants are a fair walk away but very authentic. Very laid back.

The staff and owner were exceptionally helpful. The food was good but the menu was limited. The location was remote from the village which made it quiet, with good sunset and night sky views. It also meant, if you didn't have a car, a steep uphill kilometer+ walk to reach the village.

Breakfast. It's a couple of wheat buns and cold cuts. No eggs, no yoghurt, same simple table every day. We stayed for 3 days and on the third day we were forcing ourselves to eat breakfast, just cause we paid for it. If anything, choose an option without breakfast or keep your stay up to 2 days.

The location is fantastic. Very quiet and peaceful. Every evening you can enjoy a fantastic sunset 🌅. The pool is great too, it's quite big and 2.20m deep. Their service was great, we could easily grab a couple of glasses of wine at the restaurant and enjoy them in the hotel room. The restaurant is great too. They offer amazing dishes for a fair price. Grilled octopus, cold beer and a beautiful sunset, what else do you need from a vacation?

just one minor boggle was the shower head wall bracket was loose, which meant when the shower was turned on water sprayed everywhere. I told the owner who would get this fixed. don’t let this put you off, the hotel is in a great position and we’ll worth a stay, especially at the price.

we arrived out of season, so as expected it was quiet. a very friendly welcome on arrival and during our stay. The property is linked with the restaurant, so you don’t need to travel to far for a meal, especially if you don’t have a vehicle, otherwise it’s a steep walk up into the village. the room was a good size, clean and comfortable with great views across the Atlantic and just able to see the top of the lighthouse. a great continental breakfast

There were a couple of fairly minor shortcomings - the refridgerator did not work (although wasn't needed), and the bath/basin plugs were the wrong size.

The room was spacious and generally well equipped, with a great view towards the coast, especially for sunsets. The staff were friendly and helpful, with an excellent breakfast served in the main restaurant.

Some light bulbs in our room were not working - so it was a bit dark in the evenings. Fridge provided in our room also didn’t work - but it wasn’t a problem since the drinks at the bar were cheap and real cold! 🙏😃

Maybe it was because of COVID (it has been close for a long time according to our information) there were missing some of lights in bathroom, no soap for hands, small things that could increase the quality of accommodation for small amount of money. Breakfast always the same - pastry witch cheese, ham and butter and some fruit. Only first breakfast contains jam. Could be little bit more various, after 7th breakfast we would be happy to eat something else.

The personal was really nice, communicative and funny. They offered us help with our bags to our rooms, where to go and find nice places. The last day we had to leave soon at 7 AM, so they offer breakfast exclusive for us at 6:30 - so nice from them.
