Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

IrelandTo be honest, everything was super, I can’t fault anything in this resort!
The space in the 3 bed villa was super, a very high standard of accommodation and the staff work extremely hard to ensure the rooms and the grounds are in the best condition. We travelled as a family of 8 and my niece turned 5 on the day we arrived and without asking, presumably by looking at the passport details, they dropped off a gorgeous gift to her to the villa! She was absolutely delighted with herself and it made her day! The rooms are fantastic, everything you could need for a wonderful family trip and the bakery on site is amazing! The pools in this property are fabulous and we all went in for a swim, despite it being very cold in Kate March!

CanadaEverything was great! No complaints. This is not a criticism but more as an information piece...there are no wall electrical outlets near the bed, only USB plugs in the lights. We made do but would have loved outlets closer to the bed and more outlets in the units in general.
Pedro at the front desk was very helpful, he got us all sorted when we arrived before check-in. There is a nice little coffee/breakfast cafe right beside the lobby that is quick, convenient and reasonably priced. There is also a restaurant and grocery store nearby along with other stores. The unit itself was perfect for our stay. It was large in size, had a kitchen, bathroom, bed, couch, tv and dining table. The unit was clean and had everything we needed to be comfortable. The resort offers free parking with the unit. It was a bit cooler when we visited but the pool looked like it would be very inviting on a hot summer day.

DenmarkThe resort does not appear to sort and separate rubbish: plastic, bottles, cardboard, food waste, all seem to be thrown together. Not good for such a large establishment. Also, towels are changed every day even when hung up and not put on the floor. More power points in room would be nice.
Helpful friendly staff. Good, secure, location with easy parking. Nice mature landscaping. The resort is big enough for quiet evening walks. Good hairdresser and bakery on site. Good sized accommodation.

SpainWe could not be more satisfied, the stay has been impeccable, perfect. Cleanliness, staff attention, location (just what we were looking for), being able to go with our dogs and a baby, apartment with everything we need... to repeat. Advice: it is far from the center, and either you want to walk to anything or you will have to take a car. for us, perfect 👌

PortugalThere is only one power point by the dining table to use to charge laptops and mobile phones at the same time. There are no power points next to the bed to charge my husband's breathing apparatus. I always have to remember to bring power point extension cables.
We like the location and the pet friendly attitude. However to charge €30 per pet per night is quite expensive so only for special occasions like Christmas to bring our pets with us.

NetherlandsThe internet access is stable, but the 30mbps are not enough for remote work for a couple. The bathroom had everything working, but it's a bit dated comparing with the rest of the house.
the house was excelent, properly furnished with good taste and sparkling clean. The gardens are well maintained, and the facilities are in mint condition (swimming pools, resourt roads, etc). The staff is very useful and very welcoming. the hotel has all the facilities, supermarkets, hair dressers, restaurants, bakery, laundry, etc. Internet access is stable. The location is great, close to all the landmarks in Cascais and Sintra and close to the sea.

IsraelMy recent stay at Vila Bicuda Apartment Resort in Cascais, Portugal, was an absolutely delightful experience, particularly suitable for both families and couples. The resort's maintenance is noteworthy, showcasing an exceptional level of upkeep and cleanliness. The proximity of essential services adds to the convenience of this location. A bakery and coffee shop are just a stone's throw away, ideal for morning refreshments. Additionally, the presence of a restaurant ensures that dining options are readily available. The inclusion of a laundry shop, along with a hairdresser and nail salon, further enhances the convenience factor of this resort. One of the standout features of Vila Bicuda is the daily cleaning service, ensuring a continuously pristine environment throughout our stay. Initially, my plan was for a brief visit of a couple of days, but the ambiance and facilities led me to extend my stay to approximately 10 days. The provision of free parking right at the villa is a significant advantage, especially for those traveling with vehicles. Furthermore, each villa comes with a fully equipped kitchen, which is ideal for those preferring home-cooked meals or staying for longer durations. Speaking of longer stays, the resort also offers long-term rental options, which could be a great choice for extended vacations or remote working scenarios. In conclusion, my experience at Vila Bicuda was nothing short of remarkable. The combination of excellent facilities, convenient services, and a beautiful setting makes it a top recommendation. I am eagerly looking forward to returning for a longer stay in the future.

The property was beautiful it was quiet and the pool area and villa where very clean. All staff seem helpful and all other quests where also friendly. There was a shop on site for basic needs and the bakery on site has some fantastic buns very tasty.
