    “It was the best place where we stayed in during our trip in Costa Rica. The apartment is very nice furnished, well equipped with air conditioning and VERY CLEAN. The location is about 10-15 min walking from the center of the city, what it means enough close to walk there and enough far to avoid noice and crowds. The owner of the place was very helpful and responsive all the time even though our reservation was done last minute at night. He picked up as from the bus station around 11 pm and brought us to the apartment. Everything was perfect!”

    “Excellent garden. Lots of poison dart frogs - blue jeans and green and black. owner very friendly and helpful. Lots of trips can be made from there to see sloths or green/red eyed tree frogs. Rooms have lots of space. Too much, maybe, for one person but everything you might need was there.”

    “Breakfast was enjoyable with nice local food options. The restaurant area itself was very nice with all of the hammocks to relax in, or with hummingbirds frequently zipping around. We loved the waterfall hike and had it all to ourselves! Falling asleep to the sound of the jungle was amazing and the whole garden surrounding the property was very well cared for and beautiful. Also highly recommend the night walk at the frog's paradise just down the road. We saw lots of animals and learn a tonne about the local environment.”

    “I came to Casa Cielo for a family trip to Costa Rica, we've done a lot of traveling together across Central America, Europe and the USA, and this was hands-down the best experience we've ever had. There are five things that made our stay at Casa Cielo absolutely exceptional: 1) Unbeatable serenity on a private lake, it's a peaceful personal paradise. The location is simply stunning inside and out, besides the beautiful lakefront we loved the enormous windows, the gorgeous art, the pool, and the wooden rocking chairs to relax on the terrace after a long day. 2) Vielka's mouth-watering breakfasts, dinners and desserts - words cannot describe how good it is! Breakfast was included, and we planned to try the dinner for just the first night, but it was so good we took it every night of our stay. Every day she prepared dishes that were unique, flavourful and creative; it added so much peace of mind to be able to fully focus on daily activities, and return to a delicious home-cooked meal. 3. Curt's extremely welcoming hospitality and knowledgable guidance on everything we should do and see in the area. He makes you feel at home and and at ease with the answers to every possible question about your trip, everything he recommended was outstanding. His passion for nature restoration, environmentalism and sustainability is inspiring, and we learned a lot from him about the region, the rainforests, Costa Rica, and so many other things! 4. Impeccable cleanliness. The staff take care of cleaning the house and bathrooms while you're out so you always return to a clean home. They also took care of our laundry so we went to the second half of our trip with clean clothes. 5) Vielka's mouth-watering breakfasts, dinners & desserts! I am not joking, we're still talking about how good it was. Much of the produce is grown at the on-site farm, including the delicious tilapia from the lake, and the freshness is unmistakable.”
