“The staff were extremely accommodating. We had another booking which turned out to not have what we were told for beds.
These guys took us in late at night and made sure we were happy and comfortable. I WILL be returning here each year as it's my new fav place to go along the trail!!
Situated on a lake, with access to canoes/kayaks. It was the last week of the season and they still allowed us free rein of the facilities even tho they were obviously about to close as there was only 1 other couple in the entire resort.
I believe I seen zip lines near this place also that goes out over the lake during one of my walks through the woods.
Again, these guys rock, can't go wrong staying here, just don't go when I plan on being there!! 🤣”
“We thought Mac, the owner was a complete delight and very accommodating. We didn’t arrive until late, they even left the lights on for us to enter the property. Cape Breton is beautiful all on its own with breathtaking views, but when you have people like Mac to help your stay be as comfortable as it can then it’s all the more beautiful. We would love to go back in the summer months as it was still winter when we ventured here. Thank you Mac for being one of the kindest people we’ve had the pleasure of meeting on our travels. ☺️”
“Great location and lovely staff. Telegraph Houde Motel is on a cute village called Baddeck. There’s so much character in the hotel and rooms, I loved it and really enjoyed my stay. Super friendly and helpful staff.”
“You get what you book - space is limited in a camper. The front area of the camper is nicely arranged, and the owner assisted us when we had an issue with the hot water. Okay for one night.”
“The location was beautiful, we loved watching the sunset over the ocean from the hot tub. The cabin was well-appointed and we were able to cook some simple meals in, with a quick trip to the market down the road. It was very clean and well provided in terms of towels, toiletries, kitchen supplies, etc... Overall, a great stay. We had a lovely holiday!”
“Situated right by the Cheticamp harbor, 10 minutes from Highlands National Park. Walking distance of various restaurants. Room was big and comfortable- we used the queen bed and the sofa bed. Slept fine on both. Heating worked well.”
