“Although the toilets and kitchen are shared with the others, there were no problems or queues. Everything is clean and reliable. It is convenient to have a private sink in the room and the rooms are spacious enough. The location is very good, 20 minutes from the bus station.”
“Very reasonable rate for a 4-people guestroom with in-door toilet and shower ! Thank God they sell earplugs at the reception (I forgotten mine). Excellent show and rack to put your stuff.
Quiet location yet reasonably close to down town. Nice lounge with plenty of space (except when group of US-teens barges in). Regular coffee (and cappucino) - not the one they serve at breakfast - is excellent.”
“- Booked through a reservation site for 338.1 euros for 3 nights on March 30, 2024.
- Before check-in, a deposit of 390.34 euros, which is more expensive than the accommodation fee, is required. There was no notice about the deposit before arriving at the accommodation.
- Since check-in is not possible without an additional deposit, I had no choice but to add a deposit and pay.
- The resident staff member told me not to worry as it would be automatically returned 5 days after check-out.
- He jokingly asked if I could give him an additional deposit. It was ridiculous, but I didn't want to get hurt from the beginning of the trip, so I just ignored it.
- A refund was not provided even after a week of travel, so I inquired through the reservation site.
- On April 17, 2024, a receipt was sent through the reservation site stating that 390.34 euros had been refunded at this accommodation.
- Check whether cancellations and refunds have been made through the credit card company through which multiple payments were made by May 30, 2024.
- I found out that cancellation and refund were not made for the relevant payment between April 17, 2024 and May 30, 2024. I received the supporting documents and submitted them to the reservation site.
- The reservation site has not been able to contact this hotel for a month, so the reservation site decided to issue a refund on my behalf.
- Conclusion: This accommodation is an illegal lodging establishment that commits fraud.”
“The hotel is close to the main road so it's very quick to reach the city centre of Reykjavik. The staff was very professional and polite. The hotel is nice, very clean and the breakfast was very good.”
“Buffet breakfast was stupendous--featuring local meats and dairy, and vegan nut & fruit porridge. Dinner was served in the same dining area with a small but tasty menu. Overall, the staff was friendly and knowledgeable, clearly dedicated to their work in the hospitality industry.”
“Room was clean, mattress was really comfy and bathroom spacious! Unfortunately we were flying early in the morning so didn’t have the time for breakfast as it is served from 7 AM”
