“The feeling of vintage, olden days it was amazing”

“It had everything that we needed to make our stay comfortable”

  • Horizon Savannah Review score: 10

“The complete tranquility of the environment. The chalet was large and spotless. The rooms all face the outside and look onto the boma area. The birds and Blesbok came visiting at the chalet and we even had a Chat coming to inspect the inside of the chalet. We went long walks and saw Impala and Blesbok. The Brubru surprised us on the Sunday morning, and it was the 1st time I could mark it in my bird book as confirmed. There were some storybooks on the table and for the first time in a long time I read one :-) The Arlington Brewery is some 6km from the establishment and a meal saver if you cannot get away soon enough from Pta on a Friday or traffic is a hold-up.”

  • “Everything was amazing. There is nothing they haven't thought of to make a stay comfortable. The house comes with an entertaining area which has a pool (shared with another cottage) and private hot tub, TV, braai area. The beds are comfortable and there is a study area if you need to work remotely. The kitchen is well equipped and there is a dishwasher. Thanks Michael and Adri for a wonderful stay.”

  • Klipdrift Sands Bush Camp Review score: 10

“This was the most tranquil place I have been to. Even the animals are at peace. When I arrived I was met at the gate by one of the groundsman. The place feels like home, there’s a level of familiarity that you can’t really describe All the staff members were friendly and helpful. The cleanliness From my bedroom to the shower, bathroom, pool and common spaces, everything was clean and spotless. I was even nervous to make a mess. Each guest this had the responsibility of cleaning up after themselves The views Whether you live in the upstairs rooms or on the ground, you will be able to see the trees, the dam and the entire field. As a solo woman traveller this was very important Please do visit the lookout spot about 10 minutes away from the main camp site. The climb is worth it. I spotted a few animals wandering around in a nearby reserve. And again, it was so serene I fell asleep there. If you’re a Christian, this spot is so great for prayer and worship. And a bit of shouting! The pool The pool was the star of the show. It was so crisp. The canopy really helped cool you off and keep you safe from the suns rays. There’s also a new braai area for you to be with friends and make food without the fuss of going up and down The network It might be in the push but the internet and cell service works throughout! And there’s also WiFi incase you’re from abroad or don’t want to use your data It’s self catering so make sure you stock up on food as shops are .. no where close by. Not to worry, each apartment or house has its own fridge so you can store raw meats and anything that needs refrigeration. Utensils, cooking utilities and facilities are available for use so please don’t bring your own pots If you do want to have a braai, they sell firewood and ice so you don’t have to worry too much about that as well.”

“The area is very quite and peaceful. The host is really nice and showed us around as to where we could buy ice and wood. The beds were comfy, the kitchen is fully equipped with everything that is needed for a self-catering unit and the tent was clean and well-maintained.”

  • Tshikwalo Game Lodge Review score: 8

“We have been 6 times to Tshikwalo and stayed in chalet no 19 ( ultimate favourite due to location in the corner with a fire pit ) and would return again to chalet no 19 for our next visit.”
