The property was accessible via a code entry box. There was no garage door opener and the property was surface clean only. On entering there were a stack of paint cans in the entrance hall to the left of the front door. On first sight the house looked clean but tired. Once settled in problems began to show themselves which led me to believe this property was not ready for rental. The lack of a garage door opener meant that each time I came back to the house, day or night, I had to climb stairs to the front door, enter and then go and open the garage door from inside the garage. I could then go and put the car away. Despite several requests over the month the opener was never made available.
There were cockroaches, some alive, some dead. Dream Vacations did send an exterminator round once I reported it but it took a week before I stopped seeing roaches. The lanai was covered in cobwebs and the pool deck was filthy. Again the cobwebs were taken care of but the deck remained dirty. The property was supposed to sleep eight but there were only two loungers on the pool deck and no room for any more. The air con vent above the master bed was covered in black mould. Again Dream Vacations sent someone to clean it. He arrived without a cover to protect the bed so removed the shower curtain in the guest bathroom and used that before placing a step ladder on top of the bed. I was so worried that he would topple over that Iasked my husband to go and hold the ladder steady. Once the vent was removed for cleaning it opened up the view inside the ducting which was also black with mould. We never put used the aircon on that side of the house again. Could not sleep beneath a vent spewing out mould laden air.
There were no spare sheets for any of the beds. It took a week to ten days of asking for a spare set to the master bed to be delivered. I could have paid $300 for linen service for one bed which I refused being quite happy to change and launder my own bedding.”
“The beach access was super close to our room, the room was clean and refreshing, the resort restaurant had some of the best food I've had in awhile, the tiki bar staff were great, everything was just amazing during our stay😁”
