From the king size bed to the pull-out couch with a hand-quilted blanket, the kitchenette with neatly hung dish towels, home made baked goods left for us, a table with a decorative bouquet of flowers, to the bathroom with neatly arranged soap and towels, all spoke of a well thought out and heart-felt welcome to the guests who come to visit this gem. Close to restaurants, amenities, the highway, and the city in general, while being secluded and quiet at the same time. “We came to see my family in the area while their house was full, we have now decided just to stay at Hastings House when we come down in the future because of the amazing stay. Our hostess Elise was a fabulous cook and shopkeep, showing me amazing vintage in the front store.
