“I loved this hotel. I don't have anything to criticize about it.”

  • CAFE & BB guri Review score: 10

“The stay is very cute! The owner was so friendly and helpful. She made a dinner reservation for us and it turned out to be the best dinner ever. She makes the best coffee in Ine too! The breakfast she prepared was lovely and she even made fresh waffles. The room was super clean and there was a choice of gibli movies to watch. Perfect stay in Ine!”

“Short walk to the amazing Shinkyogoku Shopping Street. We're not big shoppers but loved stumbling upon this. Also a short walk to: Sakura bar and kitchen Bisshon which we highly recommend. Perfect accommodation”

  • “- big room - location”

  • “Kayoko-san was very sweet and made amazing breakfast for us every morning (and had snacks and tea ready for us when we came back from our day out). She also took the initiative to share food recommendations and places of interest in the area that we could check out! The room was well-maintained and had a very homely feel to it, spending time in there just talking was very comfortable and enjoyable. The guest house is located near Nijo castle, and the closest train and subway stations are just a short walk away!”

  • Kyoto Shirakawa Kiraku Inn Review score: 10

“The facilities are simple, but everything is clean and functional. We stayed in the Japanese Style Room, which has a beautiful garden just outside the window - very atmospheric! The owner is extremely lovely and friendly and helpful.”

  • “The location was very safe and convenient! And the other guests were mostly very considerate and friendly :) The guest house was peaceful and it was always pleasant to return to after a long day out.”

  • Guest House Bokuyado Review score: 9

“Had a great time in Kyoto staying here. The guesthouse is clean and comfortable, with a great kitchen and shared space with free tea and coffee. It’s also a great place to meet other travellers. It’s a 15 minute walk from Kyoto station, and not that close to main tourist spots, but it’s fine if you’re happy to walk a little and there’s lots of bike hire options nearby.”

  • Kyoto style small inn Iru Review score: 9

“This ryokkan was perfectly located in Kyoto (near the university and the river, in a very quiet neighborhood). The employees were lovely and helped me with all of my questions, they also allowed me to ship my suitcase before I arrived! Everything was clean and the common kitchen area was very cozy and well furnished (I loved the tea that was available!)”

  • Nijojo Taiken Inn Review score: 10

“Truly a remarkable place! Very nice architecture and interior design. Super clean with a comfy bed and well equipped with everything you need. For example, we forgot our chargers and there's a well stocked lounge with amenities and such things you might need. There's even a shared kitchen or a limited number of bicycles available good for a quick ride. Service via messaging was prompt and definitely very committed and capable to help in case of questions. For example, we could store our luggage before picking it up later in the day. Everything was up to and exceeding expectations. We'd definitely come again! Note the bed is upstairs, connected via a stairway that is in a public space and the bathroom is also accessed through public space via a 'courtyard' with the pretty little Japanese garden you see in the pictures. There are I believe two other apartments in the inn so it was not a problem for us and we felt very comfortable and cozy during our stay.”
