“Natchala, the owner, was very helpful in organising everything while in Angola including the trip to Calundala falls. Useful since I don’t speak any Portuguese. Value for money as Luanda is an expensive city.”
“The hostel is in a friendly residential neighborhood, not too far from the airport. Pickup was something like ten dollars and I'd very much recommend it unless you've been to Luanda before and know what you're doing.
Getting to and from the city center is fast, cheap (1-2$) and easy with Yango app. Any driver around town will understand the simple phrase "Prenda na LG" and drop you off about 50 meters from the hostel (though with some Portuguese or sign language they'll take you right to the entrance, too).
At the hostel, the staff is super friendly and helpful with everything. It certainly isn't a fancy flashpacker boutique establishment, but it's comfortable, there is air con, hot showers, a kitchen, common areas.. really all you need if you don't expect luxury.
Despite it's reputation, Luanda (and Angola) is surprisingly cheap and an amazing place to explore - there just isn't a great amount of budget accomodation catering to international tourists. All the more reason to give this place the praise it deserves!”
“Newly opened hotel and had an excellent experience. The facilities are top-notch and brand new, providing a fresh and modern atmosphere. The staff were incredibly dedicated and well-trained, ensuring that every aspect of my stay was perfect. The restaurant offered delicious and well-prepared dishes, making each meal a delight. Overall, it was an outstanding stay, and I highly recommend this hotel.”
“Staff is friendly but hardly speaks English. Makes an effort to give good service. The rooms are relatively quiet and decently sized. The breakfast buffet had a relatively good selection, although the coffee was awful.”
“Airport Pick-Up and Sim Card Purchase was arragened by the owner and worked fine! Comfortable and cosy Appartment in the centre of Luanda near good Restaurants.”
