“Aty is so friendly, speaks good English and helps you with everything: information, sightseeing, visa, diner, local specialities,… super host! Accomodation is basic, terras is great! This was the second time I came here and I loved it!”

“The deluxe room was large and spacious on the first floor of the Homestay along with a nice big bathroom and shower. The owner was very helpful and a pleasure to interact with. Overall for the money this is great value. There are a lot of cats who are quite friendly around the homestay. The neighbourhood is quiet and most restaurants etc. are a 15 minute walk away or a short grab ride away. You can also rent a scooter to explore the city.”

“The hospitality of the manager & staffs. Although it was still in big holiday season, but Hasrun & team gave their best to provide what we needed. I am originated from Ternate but live far away. I recommended some of my Indonesian and foreign friends to stay here when they wanted to visit my home island. My main purpose of staying is to experience good reviews given by my friends. And they are right. My nieces-nephew and I enjoyed our stay.”

“This homestay thrives on Aty and her sweet mom. Aty is so helpful and has many contacts around the island. She provides a book with all the necessary details for some tourist activities. Aty invited me to a family lunch which was a very grateful experience for me. On top of that, she brought me to the airport early morning. She really wants to make sure your stay is as comfortable as possible!”

  • “The location is near to/walking distance to the harbour and waterfront and center of town.”

“We enjoyed sitting out on the balcony. However, the seats were very uncomfortable.”

  • Sinuan homestay- Jabu 02 Review score: 10

“Sinuan Homestay consists of two separate huts within the same property. The bathroom is located a few steps away from the huts and has no sink. The shower is simple but water comes with little pressure so it is easier to use the mandi (please be water conscious). We loved our hut (Jabu 02). It was cosy and sufficiently spacious. The bed was very comfortable and the AC worked excellently. It was nice to have breakfast outside the little balcony. The area that faces the hut has loads of room to hang towels and laundry. The host lives in a house within the same property so she is very easy to contact in case of questions or requests. Alfiantitjuana (July) and her brother were extremely helpful and kind and always very discrete. It is easier to visit Morotai if you have a motorbike. The host can help you with this. She will also give you suggestions on what to visit (the WWII Museum is just 5min drive) and help with directions. The night we had to catch the boat from Morotai to Ternate (Queen Mary departing 8pm) July organised a private car to the port and came with us and helped to purchase tickets. The beach is right across Sinuan Homestay and there are a couple of cafès walking distance but most of the warung/restaurants are not walking distance. However if you need to buy water or snacks there is a little kiosk just outside the homestay. In case you need laundry the host will help with that too. The dogs were no problem at all. They barked (this is their "job") but were never aggressive in any way”
