“Great location for visiting the Sinharaja rainforest. Tour guide is arranged by the hosts. Great guide who can make gorgeous pictures and has a sharp eye for animal spotting. Beautiful swimming pool with fireflies. Definitely go swimming in the dark (in your phone light). Cute dogs. Good food by the mother for a fair price. Use a tuk tuk rather than taxi from Deniyaya, because the road is not suitable for a car. The host was kind enough to offer us a tuk tuk ride to our taxi driver. There are mosquito nets around the bed, use them!”
“The property was spotless. Exceptionally clean and presentable. We booked the stay very last minute but the owners we very accommodating and welcomed us with a warm greeting; they even bought us fresh mangos from their trees which were amazing. Location is great, very short walk to the beach and town. Wish we stayed here longer, lovely property and lovely owners, 10/10”
“Location is good in centre Mirissa. It's nearby the main street, but you are far away enough you don't hear the noise. Big Belly is a great restaurant on the other side of the street. The beach is 10 minute walk. Good value for money.”
“Our last-minute decision to book a stay at sinharaja turned out to be one of the best choices we made during our trip. This hidden gem offered an experience that was both unique and unforgettable.
The natural beauty surrounding villa is simply breathtaking. The presence of wildlife, like peacocks and monitor lizards roaming freely, added an exotic touch to our stay, bringing us closer to nature in the most enchanting way.
A standout aspect of our stay was undoubtedly the culinary experience. It was here that we had some of the best food during our entire trip. Each meal was a delightful exploration of Sri Lankan flavors, expertly prepared and beautifully presented by ama.”
“Very friendly hosts, very close to the beach and nice surfspots. Next to a surf rental location and the bus stop to Galle/Weligama. Small pool to relax by, nice “kitchen” with water and supplies.”
“The room was comfortable and very pleasant. We were just a few metres (4?) from the beach and our window looked out to sea. The bed was comfortable and the air conditioning very effective. The food was great too. The beach was quiet and pleasant. It was the nicest place we’ve stayed at this price point in Sri Lanka. The manager was so helpful and welcoming, he really cared. Good birding not far from the villa. Highly recommended.”
“We stayed in this hotel for 8 nights and it was like home! Everything was super good! The beach is the best in Mirissa. Swimming with big turtles every day, waves were very calm - very good conditions for children. In one evening we saw the big turtle coming to lay eggs. The breakfast was very good, the restaurant in the hotel is also good. We got the room better than we booked and it was very big with 2 big comfortable beds - very convenient light and super view to the ocean from the balcony. The owner and manager are very very nice people who love children and know how to make everything for guests to have an ideal holiday! If I come back to Sri Lanka one day - I will stay only in this hotel!”
“I stayed in this lovely room in Mirissa recently, and it was amazing! The room had a great vibe, blending well with the natural surroundings. The bathroom was particularly cool, with a modern feel.”
