“Eco-Hostal Tambo Verde had so much character, the entire stay was delightful. The staff was extremely helpful, and breakfast was simple but satisfying. I loved our room with two futon beds on a lofted platform, great for friends traveling together.”
“Upon arriving in Santiago airport late at night, my transportation driver already warned me that if I was getting down in Estacion Central, I have to move fast as it was late and there is a higher risk of pickpockets in the area. I stayed 6 nights but I felt pretty okay the entire time I was there, I just took the usual precautions. There was also a doorman in front upon entry that made me feel safe. Topnotch staff service. Breakfast is okay, room is spacious ad well-lit. Lots of kioks nearby and there's also a mall within walking distance. Near public transportation.”
“From the moment we arrived to the moment we left, the staff was exceptionally kind and helpful.
The place is very clean, well kept, colorful and decorated with taste.
Really feels like being home away from home.”
“The hostel is placed at a very nice location, near to the Tobalaba subway station. This location is embedded in the commune of Providencia, which is very safe, plenty of restaurants, markets, and nice places to make tourism.”
“Very nice and comfortable rooms - very clean overall .
I missed some amenities in the room which I think should come 'as a standard' and I missed a kettle / water cooker. While the room has a coffee maker - this is not a making a nice hot cup of coffee or tea. Rather move back to an effective cooker than a 'fancy' coffee unit that does not 'do the job'.
When you stay in this hotel do visit the 17th floor at sunset for stunning views over the Andes mountain range!”
“The room was clean and tidy with a heater, which was much needed! Bathrooms were always clean and stocked and the kitchen was very well equipped and run (everyone was expected to wash their own dishes, fridge required food to be labelled with name and departure date etc) The breakfast was more than enough and had choices of cereals/oats, yoghurt, fruit, bread, cheese, and deli meat. Staff were super lovely and always eager to help. You do need to ring the bell to get in at night but there’s always someone at the desk to let you in.”
