“We arrived and was a bit taken aback with how rustic the accommodation was. No one else was staying so like other travellers we jumped at the chance to upgrade for an added 200baht.
The bed was really comfy and stunning view’s. This is def a place we will return too 😊”
“Very clean rooms and the hotel was very good looking. The welcome was warm and very friendly. The air-conditioning was efficient and quiet. The balcony was a plus. Our stay was just great”
“Unique wooden guesthouse. Small coffee shop with great seating area surrounded by books, magazines, artwork and nicknacks to buy and soothing gentle jazz music.
The upper floor with the bedrooms had a mini kitchen area with free coffee and a fridge.
The large verandah had a dining area and plenty of relaxing seats with even more books over looking the garden also with seats.
There was free use of bicycles.
My bedroom was large with it's own bathroom.”
“This homestay in Nan surprised me! I wanted to see and feel the northern Thailand countryside. I needed a place to join daily workshops online and ride a bicycle to see the surroundings. But what I found! I was the only guest in a wooden, traditional house with a lovely space and good Wi-Fi to follow my meetings. A friendly staff took care of me - although we didn't have a common language. And the breakfasts! Every morning, I was served Thai food to fill me up until late afternoon. Delicious! And if I stayed on my computer over the noon, sometimes I was offered some delights and coffees - as they knew I was tight up with my online meetings.
Between my meetings, I could bicycle around the countryside of the small town of Nan. They arranged a bicycle and also took care of its condition.”
“Baan Mai Muang Nan has all the cozy comfort of a homestay with the convenience and attention to detail of staying at a hotel. Stepping inside feels like coming home, and you are filled with a feeling of calm and serenity. The owner made me feel right and home, speaks very good English, and is very engaging in conversation. The room itself is spotlessly clean, with good working AC and a nice bathroom, and I even ended up staying longer than planned because it was such a great base to explore the charming city of Nan. And the location is unbeatable as well - only 5 mins from the weekend night market, Wat Phumin, and literally just round the corner from the Nan National Museum (highly recommended).
Thanks for making my stay in Nan extra special!”
