“It was a beautiful old house situated in amazing scenery. True to its name, we had a big verandah outside our room with chairs, a table and comfy armchairs plus enough floor space to use my yoga mat. The pool was gorgeous. Nothing was too much trouble for Isabel, the owner, to make our stay as good as possible. An added bonus was walking to the local cafe for a delicious lunch and then preparing a light snack to eat on our verandah as the sun set.”
“Such a warm welcome to a beautiful old house with a gorgeous pool. We loved the evening meal which was served in a very sociable atmosphere with the other guests. A huge thank you to Eugenia and Juan for being so hospitable while the owner was unavoidably away.”
“A beautiful location in the mountains. Lovely cafe nearby. Robert was a lovely host and the food was delicious. Bedroom was beautiful with views of the pool and mountains. Really enjoyed our stay and wd highly recommend it”
“This is a very special place, like none I've ever stayed in across 20+ years of travel throughout southern Europe! The guesthouse is in a splendid traditional village house restored with incredible care and attention to detail. Our room felt ancient and modern all at once, with rustic touches seamlessly blended to accommodate all of the modern conveniences one could ever desire. It is in a pristine slate-roofed village in a quiet untouched mountain region that feels lost in time. Richard is an incredible host: the food and hospitality were top of class from the moment we arrived.”
“Great host and his passion for his accommodation, attention to detail and quirkiness. Rooms were tastefully decorated, large bed and room with wooden beams.
Evening meal and breakfasts delicious, there were always extra portions. Secure parking for motorcycle.
If in the area we would stay there again.”
“Everything. Our welcome remained right up to the moment we drove out of the village and the joy of staying there will stay with us forever. The staff are amazing and helpful.”
““No house should ever be on a hill or on anything. It should be of the hill. Belonging to it. Hill and house should live together each the happier for the other.

What a gem! The location is stunning and the accommodation faultless! Food is hearty and plentiful, service and friendliness is faultless! I could have stayed a lot longer and just listened to the sounds of the hills! Huge secure garage for motorbike parking. The team have created something special here and if you’re reading this, trust me, just book! Good luck to Rob and his wonderful team! I will see you again one day 👍”
