    “Ok”

  • “The Victorian B&B was lovely, our room was surprisingly spacious and the bed was very comfortable. Our proprietor was so nice and prepared an excellent breakfast each morning (that even included duck eggs that a neighbor had dropped off). And the shared living room (parlor) is filled with a huge collection of mountain dulcimers and other stringed instruments, which my musician husband was welcome to play, so that was a fun way to spend part of an evening. Hollidaysburg is a charming town just outside Altoona, and the B&B is an easy 5-minute walk to the main square, where the shops, restaurants and magnificent courthouse are located. (We had a wonderful meal at the Mayfield, located in a historic hotel 4 blocks away.) And we paid less for our room than our relatives did at a name-brand hotel chain 5 minutes away in Altoona!”
