“An unusual experience and certainly great for one night at least! Set in a small lake/pool next to an industrial area but with open views, decent food and something away from the norm.
Location - located just outside Phayao you'll need your own wheels to get here. Specifically when you arrive continue down the road all the way to the bottom and you'll find yourself at the right place! Good for a stop as you drive south or north within this part of Thailand.
Rooms - very different but the photos do reflect what to expect. Enjoyed our stay here for the one night, compact space wise, bed on the firm side but everything worked and was new. Nice views in the evening and morning from the roof of your floating pod (even saw a kingfisher). You can feel it when others walk along the pontoon but that's no real issue and you'll also get used to the movement from the bed to the toilet ...
Restaurant - onsite for breakfast and dinner. In the evening we had a live singer and guitarist who was good, decent Thai food options available at reasonable prices. Breakfast was the normal selection but again good. This area is all on bamboo stilts which connect to the pontoon .. pretty cool.
Car Parking - plenty of space for your wheels here!”
“Great budget room; clean, spacious and practical for travelling with children. At this price point you wouldn't expect such a large room in great condition with a full size fridge, lots of desk and wardrobe space and plenty of room for both an extra single bed (a proper camp bed rather than a mattress on the floor) and a cot. There is also a separate room near reception where hot water and tea/coffee making facilities, dining tables etc are free for use. The staff are very friendly and helpful.”
