We felt so welcomed every day, and happily received many suggestions on what to do in the area -- we stayed a week, and there were many places to explore: onsens, pottery, tea, shrines, villages, strawberries, sake, seaside... Satomi-san suggested to us maps/itineraries of her favorite places, and even made reservations (the hosts speak excellent English in addition to native Japanese). Location is perfect, interactions rewarding, apartment very comfortable & Japanese, we woud love to be back! Kyushu is like its own country, and Saga prefectures with Takeo hub has everything -- without the tourist crowds, love it!”
