“I took my daughter who is a graduating senior for two days. The main objective was to let her experience the spa. When she was younger and we went to the Homestead she always wanted to go to this was a right of passage. It was not that crowded being the first couple days after Mother’s Day and during the first of the week. That was a plus for us as nothing was very crowded. There were some construction going on at the hotel which is expected they are in a major redo but nothing was too disturbing. The spa was wonderful, and the staff was very helpful and friendly. We ate in the Jefferson dining room and the food was excellent. We did not up for the large breakfast in the main dining room the morning that we checked out, but instead ate at the little café which was more than adequate with breakfast sandwiches and coffee. The weather was great the ambience was good and I must say I’ve been to the Homestead multiple times and this is probably my favorite trip ever. It gets a little busy during the holidays and over the summer so this was an excellent time to go. I plan on going this time again next year to avoid the more crowded times. But as always the staff is very professional and courteous and everything just clicked!”
“The front desk clerk was the sweetest, helpful and most genuine person I have met in a long time. Anything we asked for from trying to make the TV work(our fault) to getting towels and giving us information about the area. The room was clean and the kitchen was stocked, it had rocking chairs out front that we enjoyed for several hours. My husband said the bed was comfortable but I disagree, nice size room with no issues. It was close to everything.”
“Huge room with loads of cooking facilities and an amazing view. Top man looked after us at reception with stories and advice. very comfy bed and not far from Warm Springs”
“Shower did not have a handle to turn on water, only a piece of metal sticking out to use. Did not realize it until 5am and there was no one to ask about how to use it. Was the only occupant of the entire place so why select a room with no shower handle unless all rooms were like that?”
