“the room we reserved was spacious & with an extra large bed, so we were happy with both of those. The room was also quiet & very clean. Breakfast was okay, but would have been better with some fruits & fresh eggs. Staff were kind & helpful. Some interesting sites and a night market just close by, as well as shops & restaurants”
“Charming little Homestay run by a lovely Thai family, limited English but they are intuitive and if you speak abit of Thai that helps.. Bungalows right on the beach and for dinner they have fresh seafood for you to choose.. We chose our seafood/dishes and methods of cooking at 5pm and ordered to be ready for 6.30pm.. It was excellent we stayed 2 nights and both times the food was perfect. Sunset is amazing from this spot as the tides go out and you can walk and see many crabs and shells. Room was nice too. And best of all they are pet friendly.”
“Mountain view was a great spot for some serenity, very quiet, surrounded by trees, close to the only beach you'll want to hang out at. Not far from mountain view as you head into town, there is the closed infinity bar, with homeless dogs living up the stairs that NEED YOUR HELP! A male and female dog that are so lovely when you get to know them, but are hopeless at surviving as there are no tourists at this end of town or food they can scavange. The male acts scared at first & is often in better condition than the small girl. Would you be so kind to visit and assist them with fresh water and food while youre on Koh Mook. I tried to home them and get them off the island but the rescues were over run. I was buying raw chicken mince 1 kg for 100 baht for them, and containers of cooked rice which id add steamed vegies and cans of tuna to for 100 baht. I left feed the dogs signs at the entrance & extended my stay on koh Mook to do so. PLEASE TAKE SOME TIME TO HELP THEM & LOVE ON THEM & Much love will be returned. A little will go a long way for the animals on this Island. They all look so sad & being eaten alive by ticks and fleas, let alone starving to death.”
“I debated about writing this because I kind of want to keep it my little secret, but this is one of my favourite hotels to stay at EVER and on a wonderful Thai island. I have never encountered staff that are so attentive and make you feel so at home. The rooms are stunning. This is our second time staying and we love the King rooms at the back as it feels so secluded. When the tide is out, the sea isn't swimmable but you can go for a long walk along the beach. There is a tiny village right next to the hotel where you can eat/ buy snacks etc, but the hotel food is incredibly reasonably priced for good quality. There are two swimming pools so there is always a quiet space to go to. The rooms are large and feel very luxurious while also feeling in keeping with the surroundings. Having been to a number of Thai islands including those that are supposedly less touristy, this is the only one I've come across that is genuinely very undeveloped. Also a great stop to do boat trips out to other unfrequented islands and the flight into little Trang airport and transfer is also really enjoyable. So many strengths to this spot. We love it here and will definitely be back”
“Friendly staff and owner. Peaceful vibe amid a palm plantation. Would recommend travelling about 25 minutes into Trang city for a meal, as the options are limited locally.”
“Room was huge! Clean and comfortable. More like a motel, with each room opening onto and outside corridor. Staff were friendly, and randomly gave me a banana when I got back one evening. Access to hot water for drinks in the reception area.”
“The location was amazing, the staff were friendly and helpful, and the restaurant served good food. The room was great, aircon worked well, bed was comfy, bathroom was clean and shower was hot. The flush on the toilet didn't work when we arrived, but the resort quickly sorted it and fixed it - excellent customer service.”
