“Best destination if you want to have fun, make friends and of course dance/learn salsa, i loved everything in the hostel, really good hospitality coming from the first person that assited me, Alfredo is the best in reception.”
“The staff were friendly and chatty. When my bus was cancelled, they had no problem checking me in for another day.
The location was walking distance to everything I wanted to see.”
“Very good value for money. Rooms are clean, location is good and staff was friendly. As mentioned earlier, you have to ring the bell to get in (there's a pink gate), they'll open it quickly.”
“Good breakfast, fair price, huge and comfortable bed, huge swimmingpool, very kind owner and staff, nice view, quiet and safe area. For sure one of the best options for Cartago!”
“San Cipriano is an interesting village in a beautiful location and the eco lodge is located at one end from the main village which is great because it is quiet and peaceful compared with the music and activities going on in the main "street" You can't drive to the village you first have to drive or catch a bus to Cordoba or Zaragoza and then catch the "brujitas" a type of motorbike/cart on rails transport system the locals creatively invented to get there which makes it an unforgettable experience.
The staff are friendly and we were served with a generous traditional breakfast of coffee or hot chocolate, arepa, rice and eggs which is included in the price. We're the only guests so it was quiet and peaceful which we enjoyed.
We stayed in the quadruple room with private bathroom.
Don't expect a high standard of accommodation in this remote place in Colombia but it's comfortable enough. The beds were very confortable and the fans provided relied from the heat and humidity. There is also a small bar fridge to keep your cool drinks in which you will need plenty of.
We hardly saw or heard mosquitoes there (because of the high rainfall they get washed out) but they are other insects around so the individual mosquito nets were great but bring some extra string to keep them high enough to keep them from being too close to you body as that was somewhat lacking and we had to be creative in order to make them work.
Towels, soap and toilet paper were provided.”
“The hostel has really great social spaces which creates a really friendly vibe. The kitchen is well stocked and there’s a really nice cafe on site with good prices. The hostel organised nightly activities which was a great way to meet people and see the city.”
“The clealiness, the staffs attention, the location of the hotel, they are supergood. The interiors also nice there are many spots that can cater guests need such as coworking space, hammock, and teraza.
Another positive point is how strict they are to curfew to make sure sleeping hours undisturbed. I frequently stayed in La Havana, one time there was not in the right man in my shared room, he disturbed everyone sleep but then got kicked out the hostel by the staff. Gratefull with the staff quick response.”
