Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

CanadaThat our stay was short
Since entering the hotel at the reception it was a good experience. The views are super amazing, it is a large resort and scenery views are everywhere. The staff were very nice, especially Andy the buggy driver. The room was exceptional, we really liked the facilities that covers all your needs and we enjoyed the private pool. The beach is amazing, calm waves and crystal clear water with beautiful scenery. We had a romantic dinner at the Pan-Asian restaurant where our waiter mohammed provided excellent service and was very kind.

This is my 2nd time is Praslin, but first time in Raffles. There nothing to complain about this property. Aside from amazing views and the upgrades, the exceptional staff are commendable. Special mention to Cecille from the restaurant, to reception ladies Stacy,Dominique, Danielle and the guys doing the buggy transfer, you are all doing your job with passion. thank you all

QatarAt the moment there are no direct flight to Praslin Island where Rafelles hotel resides. Therefore, a pre arrangement must be made to reach the the island. Which was a bit difficult with me as it was raining heavly.
The staff were amazing, smiling faces all around. The establishment itself was equally impressive with all type of basic necessities that any tourists can think of such as a gym, a spa, a kids club...etc. The different type of cuisine every night made my stay even more unique. The Tandoori night, the Sushi Room, and The Arabic food all gave me a refreshing experience of what quality food can be. Furthermore, you can visit all the designsted locations within the facility with only one text to the reception and they will send a buggy within few minutes to pick you up and deliver you wherever you would like.

United StatesThe first thing that captivates you is the awe-inspiring splendor of the resort, perfectly nestled amidst the lush flora and fauna of this extraordinary island. The property is meticulously maintained, boasting impeccable cleanliness, and is a sanctuary for various exotic birds, along with a charming small tortoise sanctuary. To reach Curieuse Island, a mere 10-minute boat ride awaits, conveniently arranged by the hotel for you. Not far away lies Anse Lazio beach, renowned as one of the world's top 10 beaches. The culinary experience is unparalleled, with top-notch chefs preparing delectable dishes. The staff goes above and beyond, welcoming you with warm smiles and accommodating your every need with utmost grace. Without a doubt, one of the most indulgent and delightful places I have ever had the pleasure of staying at.

United Arab EmiratesMostly the staff/service was just far below what we've come to expect. Especially considering this was the most expensive resort we've tried in the Seychelles. Just before coming here we stayed at Lemuria, maybe our expectation were set too high... but then again we've been in 20+ 5* resorts mostly around this part of the world (Middle East, Maldives etc.) and have gotten used to certain things. Unfortunately here in Raffles service was not *bad*, but it was what we'd expect in a mediocre 3 star resort, not an expensive villas-only 5* resort from a global brand. Some of the (many) examples: - Both me and my wife had the strong feeling that staff genuinely don't like each other. Whenever they spoke between themselves it was clear they are NOT having a great time and the others working there are not really their "friends" in any way. We've seen this many times - restaurants, buggy service etc. - The resort is VERY hard to walk thru as it's super steep. Still, many times we decided to walk from one villa to another or eg. from the reception to avoid constantly asking for buggies. Many buggies (usually empty and going in our direction) passed us on our way, including when we were walking with small kids. Not ONCE anyone stopped to at least ASK if we need a ride. Really lame! - Our first evening we had dinner at whatever the restaurant next to the reception is called. We were seated in space right by the entrance, with zero views (huge white curtains covering the windows completely), no music, zero ambience. Felt like we're in some post-communist cheap diner in eastern Europe. And then it took 45mins to get appetizers. Worst dinner experience we've had since... not sure when. - Reception staff were nice, but no "wow" effect.
The best part of the resort are the villas. They're modern, beautifully designed and the view is jaw-dropping. Inside it's comfortable and again - well thought out. Definitely the best we've stayed at in the Seychelles and (at least inside) one of the best we've stayed at so far (considering they were "small" 1 bedrooms not any pavilions etc.) Curieuse restaurant was amazing. Food was great, the menu was interesting but also had some "proven" basics (so it wasn't too "weird"). Staff was good.

United StatesAlthough the dinner was great, it was astronomically over priced at over $300 for two people excluding alcohol. Breakfast buffet was very impressive with unique and what seemed like unlimited amount of different food options. We only ate dinner at hotel once due to the price.
Staff was very responsive and tentative. Wi-Fi speed was great. I had a problem with my personal controller - it was not updating the software/connecting to Wi-Fi and the IT guy (Deven was his name I believe) came to our room and fixed it. Great service! The buggy service was pretty good, I think only once in the early morning for sunrise they took longer than normal to come pick us up. The beach below hotel was great and overall, hotel is in a great location. Our actual room is we very impressive and the private infinity pool was incredible. It’s located nearby Anse Lazio the most popular beach - less than a 10 minute drive away.
