Bar Service was shocking. Breakfast was average at best

Although the rooms were of a high standard as expected on arrival, despite our not opting out of room cleaning, this was not systematically done on the second day of our stay. In this respect the communication was deficient - the card to hang on the door was to "opt out" of cleaning, not to "opt in".

We based ourselves in Umeå for two weeks and booked the hotel for three periods each of 2 to 3 nights. The location was perfect for us close to the river, the Umeå Institute of Design and the Vasaplan central bus station. The staff were very friendly and helpful and we appreciated being able to leave luggage when we went on side trips to Kiruna and over to Vaasa. We also enjoyed breakfast and the sauna.

Some communication issue with the personnel (arrived late, needed a garage, not very precise information delivered) but overall good service. Breakfast service was a bit sloppy and personnel sometimes rude. Breakfast food choice and sometimes quality could have been broader/better

Breakfast wasn't even okey. Not worth getting upp. Maybe it was due that it was the days between christmas and new year's eve but anyway we were expecting more.

I stayed there twice. The first time, I was given a room by the elevator. Not good. The second time, I was happily placed in the middle of the hallway. Everything else was great except for one little thing during breakfast. The fresh squeezed juice is setup for failure. It is not mounted, doesn't have drip tray and the whole thing tips when you try to use it. A small complaint but easy to fix.

Fancy hotel feeling for a reasonable price and in a great location. The staff were very helpful. The room was clean and comfy. Breakfast was a very nice spread. Would stay there again for sure!

Something strange about the bed but I have found the Nordic mattresses not the most comfortable. Single duvets.

The best breakfast buffet I ever haD anywhere! Lovely location, convenient parking right in front of the hotel. Great bathroom with a huge walk in shower and nice products. Decent art in the lobby. Wonderful bar tender although she had never made a martini and didn’t know what vermouth was. Cute doggies welcome treats and wonderful welcome treat for me—chocolate covered almonds!

When is crowdy in the breakfasts there are not enough food, service is little bit too slow.

The hotel wasn't very full and I was given a room right next to the elevator. I was also surprised that I had to pay extra for parking.

Modern, upscale hotel on the edge of central Umeå that was walking distance from most anything you might like to see. Really enjoyed the breakfast buffet. Also, ate one of the best pizzas I've ever had in Sweden a few blocks away at Kebnekaise.

Almost nothing. Minor thing: I didn't see an option for getting espresso-based drinks like a cappuccino during breakfast but also didn't ask for it.

The historic building used to house a school and it has a nice charm to it. Although historic, it also has some modern aspects to it. Our room in the top floor appeared to be freshly renovated, clean and good-looking. Both the room and bathroom had a good size. We also had a fridge and mini-bar. The location of the hotel is quite good. It is next to the city center, a large bus station is close by, and the train station is also not too far which was nice because we traveled by train. However, parking slots for cars are directly in front of the hotel. Next to the hotel are some nice parks which was good because we came with our dog. The hotel provided a blanket, bowl, and a bag of treats for our dog which was nice. The breakfast was also super good and offered everything we needed. We would come again. Recommended!

Limited parking on site comes at a cost, can't be reserved and if it is full, you are on your own. Room felt too hot and there were no temperature controls in the room for us to adjust this. No tea or coffee facilities in the room and given the price being paid we'd have expected a complimentary mini bar. Good choice at the breakfast bar but no hot water as the urn broke. Would have expected a back up - IE kettle

Poor ventilation in room. No fresh air as windows all sealed and air conditioning was not effective. worse nights sleep on our whole Scandinavian tour.
