United KingdomNothing was bad really but more of a suggestion: I would have enjoyed some homemade granola or healthy muesli and even some plain greek yoghurt... by the end of the trip I was getting a bit bored of the breakfast so I ended up bringing my own museli and yoghurt in for breakfast. Sometimes they didn't have pawpaw/papaya which seems to be everyone's favourite but when we asked they would bring a plate just for us. 😊🙏 The music didn't really suit the clientele sometimes - most people were over 40 with a few younger couples and babies so don't really want to hear teenage music. Maybe some old school soul or funk might have been better or more appropriate. They seemed to do the same play list a lot. At least it wasn't too loud though and they always had gentle music in the morning which was nice.
We have stayed at many places on Koh Samui over 4 visits and this was our favourite for many reasons. The decor and style was chic and very comfortable, super clean etc. The hotel was well-maintained. The beach was clean and the water was clear. There were always more than enough sun beds either by the pool or on the beach. Beach Massage also very close and easy to walk along the beach. The staff were super amazing and went out of their way to always help with a smile. I cannot speak more highly about how professional they were but also very caring and sweet...with a good sense of humour too. My husband was ill for a couple of days and one of the girls (very pretty eyes with striking makeup, I can't recall the name) made him some fresh ginger tea and it really helped, like magic. The staff seem to be also good friends with each other and have a nice vibe going. Bee and Tarn (who made the best iced coffees) were always a delight. The food was excellent and we often ate lunch and dinner there as well as the included breakfast. In the evenings they would put tables on the beach with festoon lighting which was always so pretty. We moved around a bit during our stay so experienced a few rooms... The Standard was ok for a couple with small carry-on bags but we had 2 x very large bags plus extras (6 total!) so I recommend the one up from that which was a bit bigger and also had an outdoor shower and indoor shower. Our fave room was the beach view which was like a mini villa with the plunge pool and again with an outdoor and indoor shower. We were relieved it wasn't a beach party young vibe like it is a bit further up the road at Avani. We checked that place out and could barely hear ourselves speak. Banana Fan Sea was super relaxing, gorgeous grounds, lovely pool and we felt part of the family there. We will definitely return. They have multiple guests that have returned there about 10-15 times so that says a lot! Thanks Banana Fan Sea 😊🙏

AustraliaThe most wonderful hotel in Koh Samui! We loved our time at Banana Fan, with the most beautiful pool villa to spend our honeymoon. The staff were brilliant and always a friendly atmosphere. The room service was amazing and extremely well-priced. Cleaners did an exceptional job, twice a day, absolutely immaculate. We are already planning our next visit, can’t wait to return.

CanadaGreat location of the resort being right on the beach; you'll enjoy your beach days or if you're not into the beach the pool is right beside for guests facing the beach/ocean. The beach is really clean also. Breakfast included in the rate was superb with lots of hot and cold variety along with fruit and pastries. It's more than enough to satisfy your breakfast. Facility was cleaning, always saw staff cleaning each day and are always friendly. Note, there's no AC in the bathroom so it will be slightly warmer than the main bedroom which does have AC. Walking distance to good restaurants, coffee shops, massages and a 7-11.

SloveniaInitially, my stay at Banana Fan Sea Resort got off to a rocky start when I was assigned what seemed to be the least desirable room. However, after a polite inquiry, the staff swiftly upgraded me to a much nicer accommodation, which I greatly appreciated. Unfortunately, there were further hiccups when the locker in my room failed to work properly. It took two attempts by the maintenance team to resolve the issue, which was a bit inconvenient. Despite these challenges, I must commend the hotel staff for their prompt attention to my concerns and their efforts to rectify the situation. Once everything was sorted, the remainder of my stay was pleasant. The room was comfortable, and the amenities were satisfactory. Overall, while there were some bumps along the way, the attentive service and eventual resolution of issues left a positive impression. With a few improvements in maintenance efficiency, Banana Fan Sea Resort has the potential to provide a more seamless experience for guests.

The pool area is beautiful. I would have to say there aren’t enough sun beds probably, but if you get there early you’ll get one. The room is amazing and super comfortable and clean. The entire hotel is beautiful and relaxing.

GermanyThe location is great, being not far from town centre yet being a bit off and quieter. The beach access is superb, great place for dinner and sundowner as well. Staff is very helpful and attentive, drinks and food taste very good. If there is any downside, then that the beautiful bungalows are very close to each other, also with the window fronts facing each other, which limits the privacy feeling quite a bit.

very nice quiet resort, 2-bedroom villa with a roofdeck is top because you can enjoy the view of the sea and don’t have to worry about the place by the pool because you are right next to it, very nice pool, nice beach for jumping into the waves, we had 2 days of big waves and you had to be very cautious, there is no place for snorkelling on Chaweng beach, very nice staff, very good food but quite expensive comparing to other restaurants out of hotel on the main street
