Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

GermanyThe cats that also walked around the kitchen, where breakfast was prepared for us.
The staff was kind and we were able to change the room, which was very small for 2 adults and 1 child and we didn't have any wardrobe or table where we could take our luggage. We had to pay a small price difference because we got a bigger room. Regardless of the room, I noticed that the furniture is outdated, minimal and the cleaning could be done more carefully. The location is relatively good, a 15-minute walk to the night bazaar. The quality-price ratio is acceptable.

CanadaThe first bathroom we had was nice and had separate shower and toilet, the room we moved to only had a wet head near the toilet and sink. I thought it would be more awkward with no shower certain or anything but it wasn't that bad at all.
The staff was very helpful with our bags, and when we had issues with our heat, they gave us extra fans for the first night, then switched us to a different room the next day, which was much cooler (it was soooo hot outside) so a/c was a non negotiable for me. Breakfast was included with our stay and was a nice feature and was quite filling. I was worried the bed was going to be too hard, but I had the best sleeps! I wish I could have made more use of the cute patio but with the heat it was almost impossible.

United StatesBeds are hard but I think they all are in Thailand, different rooms in our group had different hot water experiences, despite the staff trying to fix it. Don’t plan on a luxury hotel experience.
Great location, walking distance to many places, Sunday night market, and can get a Grab/taxi to other places. Good food and staff, big breakfast! Despite it not being a luxury hotel, I would rather stay at this quaint authentic hotel that was a great stay! There was even a really cheap laundry service next door if you’re traveling and need your laundry done for your trip or just want it clean before you go home! Definitely recommend!

GermanyNo vegan option on the breakfast checklist.
This place just has everything: it is situated in a quiet side street not on a main street. Still only 3min walk to old town. The arrangement of the apartments is very picturesque with lots of green plants. The room was spacious with some antique furniture elements. And we had a terrace. It was super quiet at night. For vegis: next door is a vegetarian Thai Restaurant which I can recommend 100% !

United StatesWe stayed with a large group and had 7 rooms. Everyone loves their stay but some rooms didn’t have good hot water, it was like warm at best, even after they tried to fix it. One room didn’t have the AC working, but the guest didn’t want to bother asking them to look at it. There were some minor things but overall it wasn’t too bad and I would stay there again.
Great location, very quaint and cute place! Friendly staff and excellent big breakfast and good food at their restaurant too! Very close to walk to Sunday night market and lots of great things.

United KingdomThe space was big but the decor really needs touched up. On the day after we arrived, the lock to our room jammed while I was inside - my husband had to jump down off the balcony to get some help and the only way to resolve was breaking down the door, which meant we had to move rooms - luckily the apartment below us was free however the aircon leaked all night and kept cutting out (the power light was flashing red) but we were grateful they let us stay the remaining 2 nights in this room as we didn't want to keep moving around.
Brilliant location, cute forest vibe throughout the premises, decent breakfast available and really nice staff who helped us with lots of things. Great shower in both the rooms we stayed in. We'd stay again overall!
