nothing major. just if you have signs saying don’t swallow tap water, maybe leave more than one small bottle per guest. Air Con wasn’t great, and as only given one card you can’t leave on if you leave the room for a short while and it quickly heats up.

Lovely swimming pools, worth staying just for them. Good location, next to the river and in walking distance (10mins at most) to River Kwai Bridge. Food good and reasonably priced.

air conditioning was very noisy. it was a little impersonal. we ate in the restaurant one evening and the meal was nowhere near as good as when we ate in a restaurant in town.

the best swimming pool I have ever seen. fabulous for walking to the famous bridge over the river.

WE selected a river facing suit and it was poorly maintained. Renovation is overdue by at least a decade.

Resort in older colonial style, walking distance from Kwai bridge and with the view on the river (from some rooms). Nice swimming pools - yes there are two (25m for swimming and one for leisure).

There is nothing around, so if you wat to eat you have to use the resturant at the hotel which is expesive.

Very quiet isolated place. For thoes who are looking for quiet vacation as at a monastery.

Resort is a little out of town but transport is readily available with taxi bikes back to the resort.

Room large and very comfortable, pool is stunning, breakfast buffet has a wonderful variety of foods. Scenery is stunning, room opened onto views of the river flowing past.

The garden is beautiful. Walking very quiet next to the river is possible to see very exotic and colorful birds. We went for dinner walking to the other side of the river, there are very good restaurants there.

The breakfast really let itself down. It was the worst that we had on our whole trip. Everything was cold, including the eggs. The warmers weren't switched on and when asked for warming - nothing was done. I would suggest maybe eggs cooked to order if that was the case. This was the only reason for the lower score.

The hotel is away from the bustling centre but close enough to walk to the bridge. We changed our room to a ground floor with river view which was great. It was big and very clean and quiet. The pools were fabulous, and great to be able to order service from the phones in the area. Did not seem that busy but there was a lot of work being done to it assuming as after the COVID lockdown. The food in the restaurant was great.

We really enjoyed our stay here. The staff were very friendly, helpful and we didn’t struggle with any language barriers. It’s a big resort but all the usual things you’d expect like room service, laundry collection and regular room cleaning still took place as normal. Staff were to hand if we needed them and the grounds were visibly maintained. The room was great, clean and stocked daily. It was however showing signs of its age - the hotel is over 30 years old so in places it showed with general wear and tear. Same with the grounds in places but it was keep tidy and presentable which was great to see. It’s about a 10 minute taxi back towards the main shops, bars and restaurants. Or there is a convenient walking route from the front of the hotel through a small alley and over the actual River Kwai Bridge. It’s very dark at night though. There isn’t another way around unless you walk the very long way or get a taxi (or scooter!) Our room had a sunset view which was stunning over the river. As expected the mosquitoes come out in mass so be sure to cover up or take some spray!! Overall the location is peaceful and secluded, fantastic pool areas, paths taking you around the resort and along the river to a perfect view point of the bridge over the River Kwai. Great to watch the scheduled trains passing over! Would recommend.
