Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomWe loved all, but perhaps couple of things to improve: 1-Although always polite, but at times staff came across less happy than other places we visit, would be great to ensure staff are well looked after, like everything else. They deserve it. 2-Coffee could be better, and robes would be nice .
Absolutely loved the grounds, the amazing old trees buzzing with wildlife, the deluxe natural room was lovely and spacious, close to the beach and with sea views. Lovely beach with lots of shade and loungers on lawn as well, nice pools. Good variety of food for breakfast, good room service , (somewhat less effort with food at beach restaurant), but overall we loved the place and conservation ethos.

RomaniaNice, luxurious hotel with everything you need. It tries to preserve the ecosystem around it and you are surrounded about very beautiful nature. Plus, it’s located on the beach. Breakfast options are plenty, staff is very nice and helpful. It’s quite tranquil, suited for families, couples, etc. We travelled in low season so the price was also very good. It’s location it’s a bit remote from Khao Lak’s center, but there are a lot of taxis.

RomaniaIt is space to make improvements especially on bar side.
It is a great location in the middle of nature. They have a lot of care for the environment. You feel like you’re in the middle off tropical forests but with all conditions.

United KingdomNo sea view from the rooms, only from the bungalows but the vegetation, trees and bird life made up for it.
Loved this hotel set in spacious tropical grounds with lots of walkways, waterways, trees, plants and wildlife. The hotel is focused on preserving the rainforest and wildlife as well as being as eco as possible. For example cleaning the waste water and using it for irrigation and the wildlife waterways. We stayed in a Deluxe natural room which was huge with an enormous bed, plenty of storage, good lighting and large balcony which overlooked a waterway and extensive planting. The bathroom was lovely with a sunken bath and separate shower. We prefer first floor since it's usually more private but some of the ground floor rooms have direct access to water for swimming. There is a library with loads of books in all languages. Breakfast was great with a huge choice of dishes to suit all nationalities. We enjoyed the New Year buffet, it really was outstanding. Other than that we took a stroll to the village, minutes away, to try out the little restaurants; all were excellent and welcoming. The beach is kept immaculate with plenty of sunloungers scattered around on the lawns. The sea was very warm with the odd jelly fish which sting but are not deadly! There are also a number of swimming pools, we found one near the modern rooms which was barely used. It is a large site with plenty of walkways but if you cannot walk easily you would need to check on distance to the restaurant/beach/nearest pool. It's a bit over an hours drive from Phuket airport, we used "Smile" taxi service; very efficient, on time and reasonably priced, would recommend them.

AustraliaI honestly can’t think of anything negative about our stay. It was wonderful.
Resort was absolutely beautiful, so peaceful and serene. Plenty of areas to relax and we always found a sunbed by the pool. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. Rooms were lovely, comfy bed, everything you need. We had a beautiful view of the gardens. We saw an Asian water monitor, squirrels, lots of frogs, birds and lizards. The breakfast was exceptional - one of the highlights of our stay. The resort is located in a nice quiet pocket away from Khao Lak centre, but has its own little block of shops and restaurants directly outside which is lovely to walk through and has everything you need. We also hired a scooter from a nearby shop for 200 bhat to explore the surrounding areas.

Israela bit far out with only a few shops and restaurants around. Not really central. The staff hardly speaks English and it is very hard to communicate. In addition at breakfast, when it gets close to 10:30 you get a very clear message that you are expected to hurry up and leave the table.
Nice hotel. Great beach although there were many Jellyfish so we didn’t really get to enjoy it. If I knew that would be the situation I might have taken an hotel with more pool options for the kids. Good selection of food for breakfast.

United KingdomThe only thing we didn’t like was the third bed in the room. Our 16 year old is 6ft and the bed was too short for him.
The hotel setting is beautiful, it is an incredibly relaxing peaceful environment. We loved the nature. The beach is beautiful and natural. We never return to the same hotel as we like to try new places but would consider returning here. The breakfast buffet was excellent with a wide choice, something for everyone. Staff are very helpful and polite.

United KingdomCatered to a more Western clientele- nothing wrong with this, however if you are looking for a more authentic Thai experience then I recommend looking at other hotels. Sunbeds were often reserved and hard to come by free ones later in the day.
Amazing rooms, good quality amenities, TV had YouTube, Netflix etc. The resort was very well kept, lots of pools, breakfast was great with plenty of options. Lots of wildlife can be seen throughout the resort and the gardens are beautiful. Staff were helpful and location is good- located at the top of a hill where at the bottom, lots of restaurants and bars can be found.

United KingdomAlthough we did not personally require gluten free options, our daughter is gluten free and we noticed that the options for someone with her requirements would be limited.
Spacious room in attractive tropical garden surroundings with plenty of birds and other wildlife. Food was very good with an excellent breakfast selection in particular. Staff were friendly and accommodating. Surrounding area was low key, but with enough restaurants and small bars to make for a change of scene now and again. Several beautiful waterfalls can be visited within a 20 minute drive.

United KingdomNothing.
The whole ethos of the hotel towards sustainability is fantastic. There is so much wildlife to see. The staff are trained to spot the different species and night walks are organised and if you’re plucky you’ll get to see a slow loris. The pool areas through the resort are fabulous. Breakfast is amazing. The staff are all so helpful and friendly.

United KingdomNothing that affected us at all. However, to note that this probably isn’t suitable for anyone with mobility issues. The hotel and grounds are on a very steep hill, mainly served by steps and extremely steep ramps. There also isn’t a lift, so be prepared for a hot climb up the stairs if you’re staying on the top floor.
Beautifully designed, this is truly a tropical paradise. Such a relaxing place to stay, even though the hotel was full it was still possible to find yourself alone in one of the many lovely swimming pools. Staff were always friendly and polite. Perfect location wise too if you’re after a very relaxed and laid back pace. There are plenty of good local village restaurants less than 5 minutes walk away. A real bonus for us was the lovely beach and the little beach shack restaurants dotted along it - perfect for sunset drinks and barefoot dining.
