Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomPlace is a little dated/tired but then it never claimed to be the Ritz. Pool bar (run by a separate owner) was never open.
Had the pool to myself most of the time. Great location. Great staff. Great value. You can do pretty much everything you may want to do in and around Hua Hin from here.

I liked the location, the aesthetics, the size and the value.

United KingdomSeeing as Hua Hin is getting more expensive, ฿500 is fairly reasonable for what you get with fan room with a shared bathroom.
This is a decent guesthouse. It’s an old fishing style house and they’ve beautifully preserved that aesthetic. You get a little balcony too, which is nice. The location is also fantastic - you’re 5 minutes from the night markets and night life, there’s the beach 30 seconds away, and some more restaurants right on your doorstep. Despite all this convenience, it’s a fairly peaceful street so you can expect a quiet night’s sleep. Staff are wonderful. Really friendly and helpful.

United KingdomNoisy neighbours could be a problem as the walls are pretty thin. Thankfully not too bad when we stayed.
Old style lodgings that just made it feel like you were staying in a sleepy fishing village. No bells and whistles but everything was just great and really good value.

ThailandBroken Beds and aircons very old and noisy and inefficient as too many gaps in the wooden walls. This hotel needs work, lots of work. It is falling apart. Take ear plugs for the aircon noise and sleeping tablets for the uncomfortable beds and when the aircons don't work.
We needed a family room with 2 separate bedrooms, we were told that they don't have. So I booked a family room for my family and had to add another room for myself which I was charged for. When my family of 4 moved into their open plan bedrooms the aircons were not working. They then gave them another family room with a separate bedroom this time and 5 beds, exactly what I had initially asked for. But by then I had already paid for the second room so I kept it. The bed in my separate bedroom was broken and as hard as a rock, i had to sleep. on the edge of the bed, luckily we only spent one night there. The only beach is at the foot of the Hilton and very small and narrow. The positive was that the hotel is central, quiet and people were friendly. The price is good but if you can't sleep because bed and aircons are. broken that is a problem. The best rooms are the sea view rooms. Newer but lots of stairs....

IndiaThe washroom was downstairs, which is not a very convenient setup. Also, it was mentioned that the location is 'beachfront' which is misleading. Becaise there is no beach infront of the hotel.
The room was nice and spacious. The location was really nice.

United KingdomThe bed linen was worn and nylon - a real shame as we didn’t sleep comfortably because of this.
Lovely, quiet pool area (unheated, as is normal) with pretty sunken bar and eatery. The property is not next to the pool but about 50 metres away, above Ye Olde Buffalo Tavern. Superb view of the sea from the balcony and there’s plenty of places to eat nearby. Surprisingly quiet at night. The train station is about 15 mins walk away. Good WiFi and aircon.

New ZealandDue to the gaps in the walls and the ACs only being in the bedrooms our lounge area was pretty hot, even at night. We could have benefited from a mosquito net.
We loved the traditional thai style buildings and the 24hour pool. Everything on the property is brightly painted in a cheerful, cute, way. The price was AMAZING. Best value for money that we have found in Thailand so far.

AustraliaNot the fault of the property, but there was a female cat that must have been coming into heat. A couple of male cats were snarling and fighting at all hours. Not a ‘dislike’, but my room had two levels. Bedroom was upstairs. Not a problem for me, but may be difficult for visitors who find stairs a challenge.
Great location . A short walk to the pier. A few minutes walk to Walking Street. Handy, but far enough away to not hear the late night noise. A lot of bars/restaurants nearby. Was able to park a rented scooter, safely under cover. Great pool. Hua Hin beach about 5 minutes walk away.
