How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Sheets looked like they were used, matrace broken, pillows big and hard. For the price what you are getting its just a very sad story.
Location, 1 min from harbour. No big sound from outside.

Air conditioning was set at 16 and only worked when key inserted and room occupied which is understandable but no controls to change the setting from 16 or turn off when sleeping. Water in bathroom sink only trickled. Toilet problematic. No TV so shouldn't be listed on booking site. No kettle so shouldn't be listed on booking site. One side of balcony door broken. A bottle of water would have been appreciated on check in.
Nice clean, fresh, thick white towels. Comfortable pillow.

Bathroom could be cleaner; lamp next to the bed wasn't working.
The location is great! 2 minutes walk from everything. My room was nice, AC was good. Overall I was happy with the room.

No frontdesk, old ferniture, the door of bathroom not useable, gijer not warking. Another room is comparatively good.

The check in/check out was in the little shop next door. Sometimes nobody was there and you had to wait a while...the room was really small and dark. I only used this place for sleeping.
The hotel is directly in the center of the town. So everything is reachable within a few minutes walking. It was mostly calm and I did not hear my neighbors nor the noise from the busy street outside. My aircon worked well.

Hotel very central, near Ton Sai pier. Budget accomodation but comfortable and clean, good wifi. We were moved to a larger room and it was very quiet and spacious.

The location is right next to the ferry point so very convenient for travelling. Post covid this place is hit with financial issues it seems it just had 1 man handling the place who could not speak English. The place isn't maintained regularly so did not have a fresh vibe. But I believe when season opens and they make some money, they will improve their service. The experience compared to its competitors was ok.

Leaking sink, old towels, stains on bedsheet, noisy hallway. People grabbing my door trying to open it many times. AC remote low battery, couldn’t change temperature, so I woke up with a cold next day. No one in reception, have to call a number. They picked up fast but were slow to come. Hard bed, so if you have back problems, dont come here. Dirty toilet, brown and greasy… All this is based on one night… I would probably find more if I stayed konger.
Wi-Fi worked well. Streamed a movie in HD. Soap and shampoo in bathroom.

Room wasn’t too clean, the bed linen had stains. The bathroom was quite small, not too much of a problem except the leaking pipe. Don’t rely on the WiFi as it isn’t too great.
Good location, in the middle of both main beaches and close to many restaurants. Staff were very friendly. They provide helpful services such as booking day trips and transport off the island.

Free wi-fi Close to harbour
Avoid like the plaque!! Location ok. First room we was given had exposed light fitting in bathroom!!! Shower only just worked. Aircon a joke Small and dingy Second room, was scared of plugging as sockets were pushed all the way back out of fitting Windows only just opened. Booked for 2 nights Relocated after 1 which was more expense to seek alternative accomodation I'm from UK and we have standards of people are staying at your property. Think booking.com need to pick there act up or I will be letting my garden shed out!!!!

The bathroom was disgusting and the AC didn’t work properly. We woke up at night several time because the heat. If you only gonna stay for the night, it’s ok but don’t expect too much.
