How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty

- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

The carparking is restricted. On my check out I was boxed in and just managed to squeeze out because people parked their car opposite me near the front wall. Also I noticed if a car had to be moved. No owner and registration details were taken on check in by reception. Therefore any Tom, Dick, Harry can park in their carpark. There should be easy excess and vehicles should not be boxed in. What if someone had early morning flight at Bangkok Airport and was boxed in by shelfish unknown driver and vehicle.
The location was very good. The hotel was kept clean and comfortable.

Same as the last time, the in room water bottles smell musty - they have to be sterilized to give guests the confidence to use them, otherwise it's buy water bottles from the supermarket and bring to the room!
Return visit to Kokotel Pattaya South Beach, reception all smiles, early check-in, free parking, quiet room, comfortable bed, all attractions in close proximity, this is my preferred hotel choice 😀

Location near clubs/ pubs. Not suitable since i bring my mother😄
Bed was comfortable, room size was big enough for family. I love water dispenser so we can refill 😁 and at the same time sustainable

The spring in the bed mattress was hard, new mattress are required for all rooms.
The location was excellent for local shops, food and amusements. The staff Narna and all the reception staff were very friendly, supportive, pleasant and great! The cost paid for the hotel room was very reasonable.

Do your research on the local area because it’s just not very desirable. Didn’t like that it’s “guest friendly”. Breakfast was hit and miss - sometimes good, sometimes not very good. Fruit is left uncovered so attracts lots of flies.
Big spacious room. Water dispenser on each floor. Environmentally friendly ethos. Short walk to the beach. Friendly staff.

The hotel has adopted great environmental practices. However, if you offer refillable water at dispensers, the hotel must make sure the in room bottles are clean. Unfortunately, that was not the case. The bottles smelt used and musty.
Quiet location near to all the main attractions of Pattaya; beach, restaurants, bars, and much more. Reception staff were very helpful, and the bed was super comfortable.

The location, cleanliness, and comfort were good to stay with friends and family. Staffs were very supportive. I will prefer Kokotel on my next visit to Pattaya city. The location is very calm and safe.

The breakfast wasn’t to my liking, also there was only two tea bags of green tea left in the room no coffee or milk or sugar. There was no microwave, and also no washing machine only one pay one down the stairs

The mosquitoes in the room i don’t know how they manage to get inside even the doors and windows were closed. Their huge so bring off lotion just to be careful with mosquito bites.
Kokotel was situated in an alley but very near to convienient store & the center just a few minutes walk and you will be in the beach road and lots of establishments. The room was huge and very spacious and has comfy beds & perfect aircondition. The showers were working properly and very powerful pressure, bathroom was also spacious.

When checking in there was a smidgen of blood on thr bedsheets. One lamp would not remain on
