Penn Villa is outstanding. The owners are fantastic, the rooms are spotless with big comfortable beds and the property is beautiful. An excellent find, this family run (Alfred & Winnie) boutique hotel is in a lovely quiet area of Surin Beach providing great rooms, wonderful pool and very attentive staff who were very willing to provide advices and organise trips

This is a small family owned hotel, that feels like home away form home! We had a wonderfull time here. The hosts where very nice and helpful with information etc. We woke up very late couple of days, and could have a breakfast even if the oficial breakfast time was long gone. The swimming pool was divine! For the 4 days we where there - we had it all to ourselfs! Thank you so much for the wonderfull experience!

Only drawback was lack of free breakfast but you can order a la carte, minimal tho. However the rooms have small fridges and there are plenty of stores and restaurants around.

Wonderful hotel, smallish and intimate, gorgeous pool and garden. Peter and Winnie are amazing hosts. They are friendly and great about making arrangements and giving good advice. Other guests were interesting folks as well, lots of good conversation and camaraderie. Can't wait to go back!

After reading all the good reviews, we decided to book two rooms, and we're glad we did. The accommodation is amazing, superbly clean, and close to everything you need in Surin & Patong, and it also has great wifi. Location is nice an quite with big pool at the front. The owners are very proud of their accommodation and are always available to help you with questions and advice. Overall, our experience was fantastic, and we highly recommend staying here!!!! We had the most wonderful 3 nights at Pen Villa with our family of 6. The most gracious hosts who went out of their way to accommodate us, beautiful and quiet hotel with the most gorgeous pool, the breakfast was delicious and a wonderful location. Would highly recommend it for a family holiday!

We liked everything. The staff was superfriendly, and the hotel and surroundings were great. Lovely and good-sized room. It was very well kept and clean, and the poolarea was great. About 10-15 minutes walk to the beach and nice restaurants nearby.

The staff were super friendly, the place was very relaxing and quiet, and the pool was great. Only 5-10 min walk to the beach through the village which was fun. Lots of local dining options. We went to Patong for an afternoon / evening and couldn't wait to return to Surin and Pen Villa!

We felt very welcome in Pen Villa, perfectly located in a quiet street close to restaurants, shops and the beach. Everything was clean and comfortable, water pressure in the shower exceptional good for Thailand conditions :-) However, what made our stay unique were our lovely hosts. Don‘t forget to bring chocolate dominoes for them when you go there ;-)

Very well-managed hotel. Our room was big, with plenty of space for luggage, and quiet at night. Clean and spacious bathroom. Great pool with several sunbeds and a nice garden. The hotel is 10 min walk to Surin beach, which is splendid. There's a lot of restaurants in the area, from the inexpensive local street food (there's an excellent one in the corner of the hotel street with the main road that goes down to Surin beach) to some fancy ones.

We were attending a friend's wedding in the Surin area and Pen Villa presented an affordable but comfortable option against the pricey resort set. The general manager (sorry we didn't get your name) and staff were friendly and informative. Excellent location and large rooms!
