Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomLots of areas were dirty and smelly- eg the back area of the second pool had building materials and loose wires. And the walk to the pool was very smelly. There was no difference at all in the premium deluxe rooms on 3rd floor compared to those on second floor. In fact the bed was nicer on second floor. Top floor (much more expensive) had a longer desk but that is not important and not worth £50 a night. The photo showed the deluxe (more expensive) room having a corner view and one of the mountain was misleading as the room we had was inward facing and exactly the same as the others really
Good location near pier. Lovely rooftop pool Rooms were good size and clean and bathroom good.

ThailandWouldn’t really say it’s value for money as have stayed in other locations such as Ko Chang, Ko Khut, Phangan, etc. for the same price and been able to get an entire villa at a much higher quality. This resembles the issue of Railay being overpriced in general and on that basis, we don’t think it’s worth the price unless you really wish to stay on Railay. The staff were friendly but it was quite inconsistent - some were knowledgable and did everything they could to help, whereas others were the opposite. There was also ongoing construction, and pools or areas were often closed without notice. For example, one pool was closed off the last two days of our stay due to them setting it up for a Christmas event. Breakfast was actually quite good but the offerings weren’t really coordinated well - like you’d have stir fried fish, carbonara pasta and then baked beans, but none of these dishes really went together so there could be a bit more thought in that. The AC units in the rooms also need some additional maintenance and backs of toilet bowls could use a bit more scrubbing.
As a hotel, it more than met the needs of our stay. It was in a good location next to the Eastern Railay beach, which is only a short 5-10 minute walk from the main Phra Nang Beach which everyone visits. The location was accessible to everywhere and was the key selling point. Rooms were generally clean and the housekeeping were great at coming early to fix up the rooms. There were separate towels provided for beach and showering, which was great. The pools were nice and not too busy - they also had seating around them. The location was quiet and overall, the rooms had what we wanted.

New ZealandWe had several power cuts and one night lost aircon, then power at 3am. Next morning the staff upgraded us. Nicer room. Breakfast was poor, flies all over the fruit, sweaty chicken ham! What’s that?
Facilities were good not far from all the restaurants and right next to the pier.

United KingdomThe second pool had construction work so our view wasn’t the best but this was fine as you’re not really in your room for that long! Lightening in room could be better.

United KingdomHave stayed here before but not sure I’d stay again, The reception staff were so rude and made us feel very uncomfortable, staring and laughing at us! The monkeys went through my bag and took things whilst I was in the pool and they are quite scary so would be nice if a staff member was around the pool area!! The bathrooms were very old and could do with a freshen up!
The pool was gorgeous, The rooms were really big! Nice balcony and the location was really good! Amazing views from the pool!

PolandBreakfasts were almost the same every day. But we were not hungry:) The bathrooms are ok, but as for me needs a little renovation. Sometimes it was unpleasant smell coming out from toilet.
We stayed in this hotel for 9 nights. We took both grand deluxe and deluxe rooms. The difference is only in furniture I guess. Grand deluxe has it more. Service/Staff is wonderful, I do appreciate their help and openness to every request. Location is perfect.

AustraliaThere are renovations going on atm so building works a bit noisy but I am sure end results will be great.
Location right off the end of the pier was very handy for carrying one's own luggage although the entrance onto the pier is very awkward. ( not the hotel fault but worth noting) breakfast good variety and plentiful. Room comfortable and clean.

United KingdomThe ground floor pool was closed for maintenance, although I realise this has to be done at some point it did mean the 2nd floor pool was sometimes a bit overcrowded.
The hotel as a whole is good, close to all the bars and restaurants.what makes it very good is the 2nd floor pool area overlooking Railay Bay East.
