Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

BahrainI was truly unhappy having to pay 800 TB for a 15 min drive from the pier. I hated there was no access to any other facilities on the island. Everything there is totally overpriced. A coke cost in the room only 95TB. I think because of the isolation, not even the staff shows any passion or happiness for their job. It's obviously mainly a money making business. It's definately also not a place to go for a solo traveller.
I loved the setting, the pool, the bed and the balcony with open shower. It was really beautiful I loved being able to go kayak at a reasonable price. Go left when kayaking end up having the most exquisite views of the limestone Islands. I really loved the caring and sincere communication with the new guest relations lady, Tamia.

NetherlandsThis location truly is paradise. It's in the middle of the jungle, surrounded by Jurassic Park like cliffs and a white beach with tall palm trees. It is out of a fairytale. Hornbills flying over daily. Everything at Koh Yao Paradise is thought through and well designed. From the mosquito repelling shower gel to the hidden airco unit. The rooms are big and tidy. The personal was so nice and helpful. This is a must stay.

United Arab EmiratesThe shower was outside and there were a lot of mosquitoes. I booked the property as a surprise for my best friends graduation which I informed the team. I was hoping they would make it extra special but they did not respond to my messages. If you don’t mind being remote then the property is perfect. If you are happy to pay to move around the island then again, the accommodation is great but if you are on an extended travel and you may be budgeting your money then perhaps not ideal as once you’re there everything costs extra. Getting to the local town or surrounding areas costs money.
The property was gorgeous, nestled in amongst the trees. The room itself had the most amazing views out on to the ocean and was very picturesque. The breakfast was delicious and the staff were very kind and attentive. The spa treatments that I had booked in for my best friend to celebrate her graduation were wonderful and the staff were very kind and listened to our needs. The yoga session that I added to our stay was fab! Such an amazing way to start the day and the yoga instructor was great!

AustraliaUnfortunately the resort pool was not available for our use , but we got a room upgrade to a room with a pool and we were given access to the Treetop pool .
We loved everything about this property , we were first timers in Thailand and the resort really did exceed all of our expectations. From the accommodation to how friendly and helpful all the staff were , nothing disappointed us .

United KingdomAs it was low.season and rainy, there were alot of mosquitos and biting insects but we knew this and it didn't put us off as we were prepared. Just be prepared in rainy season for a few mossies and bugs as you are literally in Jungle.
The most exceptional hotel we have been to in Thailand. Amazing surroundings, is in fact Paradise. The staff, the team, the tree houses are amazing.. Food and drinks are top notch. Plenty to see, wildlife in abundance. You will not be disappointed. They really looked after us on our honeymoon. Thank you Team Koh Yoi.

United KingdomNot easy/cheap to get to the resort! Resort's transfer service is expensive (1500 baht per person, one way) and the only other way is ferry then private taxi (around 800 baht for 2 people). Not easy to get anywhere from the resort. A couple of beaches are walkable but not easy routes. The resort/public taxi charge high prices to get to other locations. Only 2 restaurants at the resort. The cheaper restaurant (seafood terrace) and bars were still around 3x price of other restaurants/bars in Thailand, but this was to be expected given secluded location. Every price also had a compulsory 7% tax + 10% service charge.
Paradise is set in a beautiful location on a private beach surrounded by cliffs. The resort was well maintained and aesthetic. The superior studio was spacious with lovely decor. Our room package included a yoga class and a boat trip to Pak Bia Island which were good. Some beautiful tropical wildlife found on the island. Perfect place for couples who want to relax in the resort only. Excellent breakfast. The food at the Seafood terrace was nice, accompanied by a live singer. Cocktails were delicious, happy hour twice a day was welcomed.

AustraliaHad to request milk in room for coffee, wasn’t restocked with mini bar check each day. website advertises themed buffet nights but did not have any in the 6 days we were there. No live entertainment as advertised , although we did go in May - low season. Communication could be better- got a note one night to say the pool and main restaurant would be closed that night for renovation for the next month. So glad we were leaving the next day as the pool and restaurant the main beautiful attraction on the beachfront. concreting dust everywhere in the air. No notification on their booking website warning visitors of renovation and no pool for use. Would have been really pissed if just arriving to that with no warning.
Beautiful natural and private rooms/gardens. Aircon GREAT, WiFi GREAT. LOVE the no plastics policy, plenty of glass bottled water supplied and water refilling station at main reception. Lots of stairs if you are not staying in one of the beachfront rooms but small golf buggy type electric vehicles to transport to your room if you are not up to the walk. Very relaxed atmosphere and staff are a credit to the hotel, always greet you with a happy smile and hello and go above and beyond to help you. Root restaurant at Treehouse absolutely beautiful food and well worth the prices. Not much more price than at Paradise restaurant. Breakfast buffet ok. Spa very tranquil and ok, offer different daily specials but paying more like Western prices and not the best massages we’ve had in Thailand.

AustraliaLots of sand flies, we were bitten constantly, we always needed apply and reapply insect repellant, the resort even needed to smoke the gardens one day. I was quite disappointed there was no gym, especially when you are there for an extended stay. I think they could also do better with the restaurant given you are captive to the resort, fresh fish barbecue would be a good idea and menu specials rather than just an unchanging menu. Also make sure you take the resorts expensive direct private ferry as getting there by public ferry and taxi is difficult and long over really rough roads.
It truely is a paradise. Palm fringed gold sand beach looking over a fantastic islands view and lounging back in a deck chair in the evening with a mojito in hand. Very nice.

AustraliaEverything was more expensive than in other places in Thailand however this is mainly due to this being the only accommodation in this area and the place caters to all the food, activities etc.
The staff here were fantastic and were very accommodating. Amazing spacious room on the 2nd level overlooking the ocean. Would recommend and stay again.

TurkeyAvoid this please if beach is important for you. The beach is visually nice but it's almost impossible to swim because it's knee-high, muddy and has big stones. I saw very few people swimming in the beach. But the pool is really nice.
We were a group of 6 friends and really enjoyed our stay at Paradise. It's literally a paradise. Stuff was lovely, food was good. And the overall atmosphere is AMAZING! It's the best place if you're looking for a chill time in the nature.
