Lots and lots of steps but we knew this in advance.

The staff were exceptional, even for Thailand. The beach is beautiful and the reservation system for seats/umbrellas took the stress out of finding a seat in the morning.

Access was difficult. Surley a lift could be installed in a modern hotel. A pity as it excludes all but the able bodied .

The Beach, the cool and calm atmosphere, the people, the service and the smiles. Been coming a few years and it only keeps improving. Some trips are about travel, some are about holidays- this is 100 per cent holidays like you imagine.

Esp breakfast: the local foods provided were OK, yet many of the non-local ones were frozen foods and cooked in a rather amateur way. My suggestion is to read at least the manual of the frozen foods you purchased or consult your peers to ensure you're procuring the right food and cooking them in an acceptable way.

Great location: The resort is located in a very tranquil location and has a private beach. We have enjoyed both golden and rainy day sunsets. Staff: The staff is accommodating & responsive - booking tours via the concierge and dinner at the beach restaurant were delightful.

Prioritised design over personality, so common areas (restaurant and pool) felt a bit sterile.

Beautiful, clean, private, comfortable cottage with a gorgeous view. Lovely free cultural activity each day. Delicious food with lots of choice (especially the unlimited a la carte and buffet at breakfast).

I haven’t got anything to say. For some it might be a task walking the walkway with them been up and down. But I’m a healthy person who loved the walk in the mornings.

What an amazing place, I absolutely loved our stay. Felt really relaxed and looked after by the staff, nothing was a problem to them. From walking through the entrance to getting our room made up in the evening so when we got back in it was really calming (I even got the smelly they used in the bathrooms, it was special). Sound of the sea and the privacy of this place is perfect. Staff I have to say go above and beyond for any need you have.

I think Surin has the absolute best private beach is Phuket . Me and my partner stayed here with my 4 year old and can't recommend it highly enough . Beautiful property managed with a lot of attention to detail . If I had to pick the single best thing about the hotel would be it's staff . They go above and beyond to help you . We especially would like to thank Mai and Fern who looked after us so well. Can't wait to come back to Phuket and stay at Surin again .

- no entertainment due to start of green season - there could be a bar at lobby level so that you can enjoy the hotel facilities during monsoon season. - hotel management should consider replacing the sliding doors in the seaview rooms by plain wooden doors as they kept banging with the strong wind. Very hard to have a good sleep. Considering the room rates, it was disappointing.

Breakfast could have more choices on the buffet.

The hotel is a design classic. The beach was exceptional. Virtually private to the hotel so basically had very few people at any time of the day. The staff were brilliant with always delivering on any request in a very friendly manner. The hillside room was lovely & felt in tune with the nature around.
