The pillows were a bit hard, no one replies to messages on booking.com, you have to email them and it takes time for them to reply… I emailed asking about how to get from the pier to the hotel but no one replied … there were ants crawling all over the breakfast food which is a bit unacceptable…

The wooden huts 🛖 are very cute, infinity pool was clean , amazing views of the bay from the pool and the restaurant, good breakfast , room was very clean, good location but the island is small so you can’t go wrong with the location really….

Food at night was not great. Breakfast was good. Also every thing there closed at 9. Given that the place is isolated with only a few options and no bars near it I would have though it would stay open later. No safety box.

Room and pool were nice. Pitty the low tide went out as far but not their fault. Bike rental. Outside shower was strange.

300 baht transfer from the pier seemed excessive compared with local prices

Beautiful secluded spot on the beach with the most incredible view. The bungalows are clean and serviced daily. Generous buffet breakfast with good coffee was a welcome surprise. The pool was very clean and staff were helpful with everything we needed. Some nature sounds especially at night, frogs, cicadas kept us entertained.

- resort should be adults only - because during our stay there were one family with 2 children and whole pool was "their", they play with a ball in small pool, shouted at each other, smaller child often cried, parents didnt care that there are also other guests, this family was very laud. When they left it was like paradise beside the fact that the resort was full. There were relaxing silent. - staff were not very helpful, not very friendly - staff had very bad english (just one or two staff was able to communicate) - it was seaside resort, but there were no beach, not sea where you want to swim - expensive - this whole island is more expensive - there is so much garbage around island and in the sea

The personal looked not very happy and were not very active. I don’t know why 🤔 The price of food on the resort is relatively expensive, but it’s Holliday so who cares

The bungalow D4, was by far the best bungalow. It was located on the hill side with a nice view and located 5 meters towards the swimming pool. Next to the accommodation was a small supermarket and small restaurant to have lunch. With regards to other restaurants you should probably get a scooter or a taxi. The restaurant “chaba” which is on walking distance offers great food for the evening.

Reception offered no help with picking-up guests at the pier or giving a lift on the way back. You can get everything cheaper outside the resort, other resorts usually offer better price for their guests (e.g. motorbikes, massages).

We have enjoyed our time very much, but we still feel like some things are nice to know for others before booking at the hotel. While the bungalows were beautiful, they should not be offered to groups of 3 adults. On booking, several types of bungalows can be booked that way, but they are way too small to accomodate 3 adults. That being said, the staff was actually surprised when we arrived as a group of 3 although it was clearly indicated in the booking and they also made sure that we paid the whole price for 3 people. While the staff was very friendly, the checking in process was rather unstructured as we were given an even smaller bungalow than we booked and the staff lacked a bit of professionality as we complained about that. Neither the smaller bungalow nor the bungalow we had actually booked had the extra bed ready when we arrived and as I said, both are actually too small for 3 people (the door nearly couldn't be closed when the extra bed was brought). Still I would very much recommend this hotel!

The staff was very friendly and the hotel is located quite nicely close to the pier and a little town as well as the beautiful sand bank but still very remotely and more quiet compared to other typical Thai beaches. The pools are very nice which is good as Yao Yai is a rather flat island leading to the sea being too far gone for swimming for most of the time during low tide. The bungalows are nicely decorated and the food both at the breakfast buffet as well as à la carte for lunch and dinner is very tasty.
