Dear Sir, Thank you for the courtesy of the head of the venue. The position of the hotel is excellent, from the upper rooms the panorama is fantastic, the terrace is romantic. I came especially for the old Ottoman details, the ceilings painted with traditional tulips, the carpets, the architecture reminiscent of the old inns, the stylish furniture, the very good beds and mattresses, the spacious rooms. I believe that if you make a minimal investment in lighting fixtures, chandeliers to match the Ottoman atmosphere, better ventilation and a more varied breakfast from day to day, you can add many stars to your hotel and luxury in addition to sophistication current. Thus and with some intertwined Ottoman and Byzantine details, perhaps some hand-painted paintings, icons, porcelain, tiles and in the rooms, you fit perfectly into what is Istanbul Constantinople this international island where sublimely intertwine cultures, art, architecture, music, culinary delights, flavors and fragrances and the peace of many religions. The location is perfect. Away from the busy area of the blue mosque but within a 5 min walk to mosque, hagia and cistern. Bedding in general could use updating, and the breakfast was ok... sometimes cold even first thing in the morning. But the proximity to the major areas made it worth it. The staff were great, and they cleaned our room daily. Tram line close by and within a 30 min walk you will also be at a major ferry station. Hotel also offers private transport from airport. Overall good value for the money! Not having to take a taxi was a major plus for us!

Tashkonak hotel was the perfect accommodation for our stay in Istanbul. 5 mins walk from all the major attractions and also to the tram station. The staff was extremely helpful and kind. The room has been cleaned every day and the bed sheets were always spotless. It was a very good deal for 8 nights in Istanbul. Thanks Tashkonak staff!
