Falsely advertised...asked for a refund after seeing d room..or a better room at a higher cost..all denied..power went b4 d end of d first day 2hrs..and asked for a refund for d upcoming day..it was denied..management refuse to answer my call to discuss a way forward..no communication...never goin back there....

The noise from draging furniture on the upper floor was very annoying in my room.

My overall opinion was a good experience. I will definitely go back. The staff was nice and the breakfast was good.

It was perfect for our needs

I was able to check in very late due to to work circumstances. I was well accommodated. Had a fabulous time at the beach which is just across the street. The hosts were like family. Thank you for your hospitality. We will be back soon!!

I loved the location. The property has potential however it needs a hail over. The room smelled musty and mole was on the bathroom walls. No hot water in the bathroom. Sheets were dinged and rumpled. Two towels were picked up on the side and given to us.

The owner made us feel that we were a nuisance and inconvenience. We were a group comprised of Trinidad residents and UK residents. The staff did try to help and were pleasant and friendly but didn't seem particularly supported by the owner. The restaurant quality of menu items was poor ( not included in the pricing ) and not very palatable. We understood that due to just reopening due to Covid, only limited menu items might be available. However, this should have been made clear to customers before we ordered rather then constantly referring us to the menu. On one morning, where I had indicated that the party were leaving very early for a trek, we were told that they couldn't provide some breakfast to take away apart from some pineapple which we requested. The owner then complained that they had expected part of the group for breakfast and that they had to throw stuff away when we hadn't even ordered anything!!! Even provision of hot drink items such as tea or coffee seemed very difficult. The steepness of the incline and numbers of stairs necessary to access the property and rooms was not made clear in the description of the place which stated it was beachside. This would have affected my choice of property, so should have been clearly stated on the property description as we had an 88year old with some mobility issues with us. There was wifi access and internet access throughout and internet connected TV in each room. BUT in one room the party were very shocked and distressed as a porn channel came straight up onto the screen. We would strongly recommend that the Lodge check and clear internet browsing history in all rooms as this could have serious implications for any children using the rooms.

Employed staff were amiable and tried to be helpful.

Rooms needed a microwave, extra beds should be added for kids 7 and under. There should be a warning sign by the road for the steep incline to drive up the hill to the car park. The rooms needed chairs and a table because you cannot eat outside food at the restaurant which is understandable but at least add 2 chairs and a small table in the rooms so persons would not have to eat on the beds.

Friendly staff, Nice views, opposite the beach , clean surroundings. Good for the price for couples. Not suitable for the elderly due to the steep steps. Cheaper food options available outside by the fishing facility 5 mins walk.

I did not like that the room smelled like someone just took a dump in the restroom before we checked in. I knew this as the toilet was not flushing properly. while out in the restaurant area no waitress is not on hand to tend to your questions. The menu looked nice but the items is not what you think you are paying the price for. I order GRILLED king fish in which I got a small cut and the fish was oven baked and NOT GRILLED as the menu advertised. I did not mind the oven fish as it did taste good, but at least tell me the portion you are serving and let me know it is baked fish and NOT GRILLED fish. If you are going to Las Cuevas beach lodge, I suggest to buy your food outside in order to receive what you are paying for. My brunch order price was equal to my room price I booked online...just to give you an idea.

I did not have breakfast. I booked online and the transparency of what was included seems to be different. Upon arrival no one was at the front desk. I met an older woman who greeted me and she proceeded to check me in. She advised me about the breakfast, lunch and dinner. I told her as it is 1pm I can skip breakfast and lunch. She advised me of the ($10 breakfast and the $12.lunch and the $14-dinner. I said I will pay the cost for dinner for tonight and breakfast the next morning as I check out the next morning at 11am. She told me the price was and I paid. I came back at 8:45pm and the kitchen was closed and no staff was available on the property. I end up having to drive back off the property to go look for food.

Rooms could do with an overhaul. Remove broken mirror and picture frame. A little TLC would make this an amazing place to stay.

Amazing location directly opposite Las Cuevas Beach. Informal style, clean rooms, friendly, welcoming staff and ability to purchase tasty local food. Great viewing verandah and lovely cool public area to chill in.

The room smelled musty, linen wasn't clean. The entire room needed wiping, mopping and air refresher. Needs upgrades. The pics didn't really match. Totally disappointed. Host were a bit noisy.
