Very good for value! Damon was extremely friendly, made me feel welcome right away, and he helped me carry my luggage upstairs to my room. Nice common area downstairs with essentials such as a water cooler and a sink. Bed was comfy, cosy little private space of your own after you draw your curtains.

Very tidy and clean hostel. Just a short walk from the train station. Free tea and coffee. The hostel, rooms and bathrooms are cleaned daily. Enough space in the room for the backpack. The bed is comfy. Kitchen utensils and microwave are available. Highly recommend.

Hostels can be very similar. This one stuck out because it felt like home. The staff was very attentive and Kara who greeted me and was the receptionist on duty, made the place feel very special with her amazing smile and friendly personality. She also speaks fluent English and was super helpful with tips for activities. I wanted to stay several nights but the place was booked. I see why it would be. This place is a “must return” on my Taiwan list. It’s a short walk to the train station. The bus to Taroko is very close. The hostel is clean and they have a very nice community area where you can work, make friends, have dinners and read the many notes on the wall from previous guests. They also have maps for sightseeing spots. Washing machine is available too.

Really awesome place to stay in Hualien, it was close to everything and the staff is awesome. The dorm rooms are nice and big with plenty of space for your belongings (dorms can be small and cramped, but not this one!) and everything was very clean. WiFi worked great as well. There is a washer on-site with detergent where you can do your laundry for only TWD$20 - super cheap!

Since there is no shower curtain and the shower is located directly opposite and close to the bathroom door, the beautiful wooden door got mouldy and smelled bad.

The hostel is close to the train station and bus station. The room was large and had a cozy seating area next to the windows, eco-friendly shower gel and shampoo were provided. The host is a really nice and talkative person, always up for a chat and also introduced me to other guests.

Excellent location near Hualien Station and a tidy room. In comparison to most hostels I've visited, the room is quite spacious.

Real nice host. Arranged a quick inexpensive upgrade for a better room. Location is close to the train station. There is a walking trail behind the huge temple nearby in 10 mins walk. The trail is hilly. Got a good work out after two hours.

Place is really great, Damon - the owner super nice and very helpfull. He recommended me places to visit in Taiwan this time of the year and how best to get around. The atmosphere in the hostel is great, staff very friendly. Hostel is located near train/bus station, which is really helpful. It is clean, shampoo and shower gel in the bathroom. I highly recommend it, would stay again !

Only a tiny thing, it would be nice if the social area was more comfy, comfy chairs or beanbags. It wasn't set up in a way to make it easy to chat to other travellers. Still a nice area though

Beds very comfortable with light, hanger, plug and curtains. Staff friendly, a downstairs area to sit in. A nice stay. I love the fact it is an eco hostel.

The room was very noisy -not from guests, but from exterior sounds (cars, motorcycles, etc.) which made it hard to sleep.

This place is like a little bubble of cuteness and confort. The room has the shower and toilet room inside of it, making it super comfortabe for getting changed, or going to the toilet at night. The space is nicely decorated, and I especially appreciated the ecofriendly decisions they made (products recycling, etc.)

Maybe the best value for money I've experienced in a hostel. Free laundry and bike rental service. Excellent social area. Beds are very comfy. The husband and wife who run it are incredibly friendly and helpful.

The location is great, around a 10 minute walk from the station and since I rented a bike during my stay, I could travel from the night market to the hostel in around 20 minutes. Damon was also so helpful with showing me where things were and solving any problems I had. A fantastic stay altogether.
