We had a bed by the window facing the street which was still a bit noisy. But in the evening the noise level subsided.

The dorm was very clean and had its own bathroom in the room. If someone is already using the bathroom, a shared bathroom can also be used. The hostel was very modern. The location is really good.

I do think there can be upgrades on the curtain on the rooms? The curtain covers are a bit dirty. I sure hope they at least change it as well.

At times it got hot in the night and sometimes other roommates would turn the light on late and leave it on.

There were very secure lockers to store things and with a curtain and light my bunk felt very private. The common area, laundry and kitchen facilities were great. in a very convenient area. Staff were helpful and spoke good english.

Drinking water is in the social room in the basement or at reception floor, not on same floor as the beds. But worked fine. Social room in basement, not natural to just pass through and meet others. But understandable given the building

Good location and pretty comfortable beds. Found the place pretty calming The door to the toilet doesn’t do clicking sounds which is good for those sleeping next to it.

Excellent location, close to Xiamending. We just spent one night there before going to the airport but I was surprised about the quality of this place. Smooth check in and very friendly staff. Generous beds, black curtains to prevent from others turning on the lights, clean shower and toilet, drinkable water (warm/hot), shared kitchen in the basement, etc. Everything you need. Lockers are quite generous too (I could fit my big backpack, my small one, a pair of shoes and my jacket). Would go back again for this price!

Location are great and very easy to find, wasn't expect too much coz its business trip, however the place are much better than I had hope, room and sheet are clean, multi shower room, pretty acceptable price for solo travel. It's a nice backpacker staying place. would recommend.

Directions not great; other reviews said the same. They need to get this corrected. The other big one is you can rent a shower towel BUT rental fee nearly half the cost of the bed (pretty expensive, I was SHOCKED!).

Limited bathroom/toilet. Not sure why the bathroom is always flooded. Space seemed to be an issue but if you are outside the hostel most of the time then it is no big deal. Ximending is kind of just opposite, across the main road.

I thought the placement design of beds was very clever (to maximize space in the room). I was lucky to be given a top bunk (with cute stairways to go up) and the double bed beside me was empty most of the time. This means that I have quite a bit of a space to myself (thankfully). Space was otherwise quite limited. They have lockers outside the room (need to tap the keycard on the card reader on the wall - I thought this was smart). Check out can be done via the automated system (another plus point for clever convenience). Location was amazing, within a very short walking distance to Ximen MRT (exit to Ximen Metro Mall).

The toilet located in the dorm was too confined and when someone used it for num 2, it made the room unpleasant. You have to rent towels. Weird kiosk machine for checking-in and out. Not really any public space to chill, like no lounge area, only some seating facing a wall with a few computers on them.

The double bed was comfy and the built-in-to-the-wall style of construction made them easy to navigate and no creaking sounds. The curtains provided privacy and the lockers provided security. There was a "private" bathroom for the four beds in the dorm, but it's not polite to use when other other guests are there. Luckily there is another bathroom just outside of the room. Overall, not bad of a stay and there is a nearby overnight parking garage which is only 10$NT per hour.

The fire alarm went off around 3 in the morning and stopped with no explanation 20 minutes later. This left a lot of people confused and tired.

- bathrooms inside the room smelt - no hand soap at the sink inside the room - lack of bathrooms - only 1 communal one on the floor shared between many dorms - small rooms and not loads of room to leave your stuff - reception staff were okay but not particularly helpful with recommendations of things to do around the area or in Taipei. Would have been nice to have a map or recommendations of local places to eat/things to do (although this seems to be the case throughout Taiwan) - as per the other reviews, not a sociable hostel

- location was great and quite easy to get to from Taipei Main Station and near Ximen which was a nice area - close to lots of food places for breakfast and 7/11 / family mart and loads to do in Ximen - easy checkin and checkout at machine - bed was comfy with curtains and locker space okay - could do laundry independently - decent communal space with drinking water and fridge

The rooms and bathrooms could be cleaner. Also, it's not a very sociable hostel.

The location of this hostel is very convenient as it is located just a 5 minute walk from the Ximending area which has lots of shops, restaurants and street food. The staff in the hostel are very nice and helpful and speak good English.
