Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesNothing. It turned out to be the best spot for our trip, only saddened that we didn't stay longer in this spot.
Warm staff, easy check in, great location, and superb value for money.

JapanDuring my 2 nights here I encountered zero issues and would recommend this place to everyone!
This place is so close to Taipei main station. Check-in was super convenient and they accept credit card which was a lovely surprise. The staff were very helpful and insightful. The room was by far the best, cleanest, and spacious hostel I've stayed in. The shared space's atmosphere was very homey and super modern. I will definitely be staying here next time I am in Taipei.

AustraliaI believe a 4pm check-in is a bit too late.
The receptionist was very friendly and helpful and despite nearly being fully booked, she was able to find a way for me to stay for the days I wanted. I had to change rooms due to nearly being fully booked but it was not a problem. Everywhere in the hostel was very clean, especially the bathrooms. The pods are great and there is secure storage for a backpack in each pod. Free tea and a small snack were provided to all guests in the common area. It is located very close to a bus stop and is only a 10min walk from the train station.

NetherlandsWe were in doubt whether to book We Come or not but we didn't regret booking it. A floor with rooms (6th) is kept apart from a floor with dorms (7th) and the reception floor with living room for the dorms (2nd). The room was big enough, still looked new and was clean. The kitchen/living was well-equipped, but the rack and dripping plate of the small oven were badly burned and smudged and the cooking plate was put out of use. Not all guests feel the need to clean up properly: remains of spaghetti in the sink etc. Solidarity in the backpack/budget scene has gone. Guests only say hello to their mobile phones nowadays. Laundry on the 7th floor. Keycards are used, but still I would have liked it if the entrance to the floors had also been guarded by the keycards. Close to the green MRT line, a slight bit too far from the main station. General conclusion: not bad at all.

United StatesA little bit noisy with people coming in and out during the night, but that's expected in a shared room.
There were many shower stalls and a nice common room! Location was also close to many yummy Taiwanese breakfast places, and only 5-10 min walk from Zhongshan and Beimen station.

Staffs were helpful. I missed my high speed rail, and hence nearly missed the counter check in time at 930pm. Called the counter and the staff, Will was patient and kind enough to comfort me through the phone, he understood my need and situation immediately, and arranged for self check in measures promptly. When I met him in the lift one day, he also took time to introduce me to nearby attractions that he thinks it’s worth going at the current timing. I feel deeply touched with the hospitality offered by Will. :) The hostel exceeded my expectations as they had prepared racks for us to hang-dry our clothes after our laundry. They even prepared lotion, cotton bud, hair tie and make up remover at the make up table for guests. I’m pleasantly surprised.

MalaysiaThe security aspects of the hotel. The hotel room can be accessed by anyone directly via the lift.
We like the atmosphere of the hotel with the common area and kitchenette with free access to tea and coffee. The room is ample size with all functioning facilities. It is only 6 mins walking from Beimen MRT station. The hotel is located off the main road and is very quiet.

PolandIt took me a few minutes to find the building. From outside it looks just like a normal apartment/office.
Fantastic, friendly, cozy place, equipped with everything you might need during your travel. Great location in city center, near underground and train station, night market, Dihua street and Container Market by the riverside. Staff working there is extremely friendly and helpful. Would recommend to anyone.

JapanThe only thing I can think of is that it would have been nice to have more towels in the bedroom. We were only given one bath towel each and a small bath mat, but there were no smaller sized towels to dry your hands or face. There was also no hand soap in the bedroom which meant we had to use the shower gel to wash our hands.
The bedroom was comfortable and pretty much had everything we needed - beds, a desk, a TV, a sink with a mirror, a toilet and a shower. Both the bedroom and the kitchen area were very clean. The location was great - very accessible and an easy walk to the nearest train station.

very clean, nice rooms & bathrooms. definitely recommend getting a room on the 6th floor, those facilities seem to be much newer. there is coin laundry available on the second floor for nt$40 per washer which was a lifesaver. great location, about 5-10 min walk from ningxia night market, 5 min from dihua street, & 20-30 min on public transport to both raohe and shilin night markets! around 15 min walk to taipei main station as well.

AustraliaOnly flaw is location is not the best, no food or convenience stores on same street. And a bit of walk to train station. But we're ok as with a bit of walk we can go to Ningxia night market, dihua street, Taipei station in all different directions without having to take public transport.
Plenty of lighting, space. Love the shower. Spacious bathroom. Nice slippers. aircon works well. Love the communal spaces where we could eat and rest. And there are toilets, bins, fridges.

TaiwanThe hostel is clean and well maintained. The staff is very patient. I could not get into my room with my card key after I went to get some water. It was nine forty. A staff came to help. She first open the door with her card key to test the door was working. Then she tested the door with my card key. Interestingly, it worked. But she was very patient, testing my car key more times. The card key was not working at some trials. She apologized to me and asked me to tell the front desk about the card key issue. I did so when I checked out the next day. A different staff said the issue had been annotated in their computer.
