There's a strong reliance on single use plastics (plastic cutlery etc.) which could be replaced by washable cutlery.

The staff were really kind (shout out to Katie and RJ), and the location is brilliant as it's only a few minutes walk away from the free mall bus. Bathrooms are really clean.

The bedroom windows don't open. I know its a safety or security thing. The room had lots of light pollution with the HVAC unit and some other light on the ceiling. All the lights reflected off the stainless steel table so they were extra bright. Still I managed to get a good night's rest.

We booked a private room for the weekend. The entire facility was very clean and the staff was very professional and polite. Our room was big enough for all our stuff and the beds were comfortable. I liked the sink in the sleeping area as this was very useful. The common kitchen as very useful and the staff kept it very clean. The location was great as everything we wanted to do was in walking distance. This will be my first choice for my next trip to Denver.

The kitchen is big and well-organized, which is great. However, I was disappointed to find only plastic forks, knives, and spoons available. This not only cheapens the experience of enjoying a cooked meal but is also harmful to the environment. I suggest switching to reusable cutlery to improve the dining experience and support sustainability.

Well located with professional check-in. The staff were great and made me feel welcome right from check-in. The big common room is excellent for socializing. Rooms, kitchen, and bathroom were very clean.

Strange tinkling noises, not being able to get basic cable tv: I wanted to get friends show on few nights in a row and just could not figure out. Just noises at times were a bit of a bother. Ear plugs available though.

It would have been nice to have sinks either in the rooms with the toilets or at least out in the hall-- having to go back to my room where the sink was to wash my hands after using the toilet felt weird. Having outlets near each bunk also would have been helpful, that way I could charge my phone or laptop while I was using it in my bunk.

Check in was great, I loved the staff there. The renovations were excellent and the building itself was beautiful and in a very excellent location at a great cost.

The only reason it wasn’t a 10 is because the lounge was smaller than some of the other (best) hostels I’ve stayed at, also there was no great place to do some work e.i. Work tables, and the room locked storage was on the smaller side. On a positive note, the bathrooms were VERY clean and the kitchen, although not super cooker friendly, was also clean and tidy. Thank you to all the staff.

I was there for a national conference, the location of 11th Avenue Hostel is excellent if you enjoy a small walk from the Colorado Convention Center. It is a clean and safe place to settle yourself down in Denver, plus with a very reasonable price. The room looked better than I thought, and it was much cleaner than I thought it was supposed to be. Unfortunately the AC in my room was down during my whole stay, so they gave me a decent discount of my rate accordingly. After all, it is a good choice for young travelers, especially for those who visit the city first time.

The room was freezing but they did turn up the heat and provide an extra blanket when requested. The bathroom with just a toilet should include a sink. It’s gross to have to touch things on your way back to your room without washing your hands

Non-hostel: This is a hubbub-y area, and there are at least two nightclubs within half a block, which, along with foot traffic and car stereo noise, could be a problem for some travellers, but is to be expected for hostels in busy areas like this one. If you are driving into town, make sure to do some research in advance regarding parking. There is a lot one block away that has an arrangement with the hostel and provides discounts for their customers, but it was still ~$45 for two nights, which is very high. This is close enough to some residential neighborhoods that you can likely park in for free if you don't mind the hike, but bear the weather in mind when making this decision and make sure that you are taking note of plowing and parking signs. Hostel: There were some fees which were not disclosed at booking that, had I known about them, would have affected my choice of room. Approximately $85 a night for a private room is a steal, but with additional fees and taxes, my room was about $15 more per night than advertised, and I would have downgraded rooms had I know this or been provided a more accurate estimate in advance.

The facilities are wonderful. I had a private room on the second floor, bathroom/shower facilities were very clean and well maintained as well as easily accessible. A nice library/common area, and the shared kitchen facility was always clean and well maintained as well. I saw custodial staff performing cleaning at regular intervals multiple times a day. Staff was friendly, and you can be as sociable or anti-social as you like. There is a cafe in the lobby that serves ice cream and coffee with some pastries, and there are plenty of places to eat and drink in very close proximity to the hostel.

There are very few facilities - lavatories, showers - for the amount of people that the place can accommodate. This means high level of wear and tear, and while that the staff are very attentive to comments on such issues, they do tend to affect the experience of the stay and should be considered when booking. Also, take note that while there are lockers at each room, dedicated to each bed (I stayed in a two double-bunkbed room, so we had four lockers) they are quite small and will not fit any suitcase of any size. You also need to bring your own lock - or buy one at the desk.

the hostel is located right in front of a bus station of Broadway street, which is a 10 minute walk from the city center and some of its best sites. I was there for a convention, and so stayed at the hostel for two non-consecutive nights. This place is great if you are merely looking for a place to lay your head - as its facilities are very spartan, though adequate. Its two main strengths are location and the staff, which I found to be very attentive and helpful.
