Beds were not very comfortable and not enough bedding. 3 sheets and a thin blanket on top which was quite unusual. Blinds didn’t offer much privacy to street front and air con unit was very very noisy

Room could have had a few more non expensive items to enhance the room and make it much more welcoming Bathroom - Shower needs a bit of TLC to make it more functional and comfortable - better paint job in bathroom needed, a proper job in bathroom would fix everything, water ran out of corners of shower creating a pool of water in rest of bathroom floor area, bathroom / Shower window needs bit of maintenance.

Lots of bits in the room were worse for wear and could do with a fix up. Window broken so we couldn't open it much. Biggest issue was we felt quite unsafe in the area and after dark made sure we got taxis back. Huge homeless population with a lot of mental health issues. The hotel left earplugs and I wondered why, and the first night we could just hear someone screaming outside all night and it was really upsetting. One morning we woke up to police sirens and a police tent and presence on the beach. At first glance it's a great location, but if you're an empathetic person it may be a difficult stay.

Really nice spacious room, gorgeous beach views. Property right next to the beach and felt good for the price! Staff nice. Liked having a fridge and coffee maker. Really enjoyed hiring bikes and cycling along the front. Right next to Venice and a short walk to santa monica pier. Really liked the bar next door, cocktails were great! Easy check in.

Very close to the beach, top location. The room is very basic, which is to be expected with this booking. However, I think it was fair. The view from the toilet was amazing!! The entire room had amazing views, and that's what we wanted to prioritize, views and location. The building itself was basic.

Honestly, the entire building needs a refurbishment, it is not really good value for money. The room is rather small and bed not so comfortable.

Location is good, makes it easy to explore Santa Monica and Venice areas.

Great, very helpful and friendly staff, who were the highpoint of the experience. The location also couldn't be better, but the room wasn't great. Definitely not the one in the picture! More like an office than a bedroom, ceiling in the bathroom leaked and few of the plugs worked.

It gets noisy at night time. The hotel thoughtfully provided ear plugs on the bedside table for use which helped.

Good location with ocean views. The staff were very friendly and helpful. There were washing machines on site which was great for us as we'd been traveling for a few days and wanted to wash out clothes. If you need to get into the city area, you need to be aware of the traffic and plan well ahead.

Room is pretty tired and a little bit noisey. Bathroom was below par.

Cheap and cheerful. Great for solo traveler / couple. Location is absoloutley brilliant. Washing and drying facilities downstairs are really useful.

You are sandwiched between 2 pubs, so expect a little noise at night (the free ear plugs by the bed were a bit of a give away). While there we had 3 different staff on. The 2 guys were great but at check in, the lady seemed to have no idea what she was doing. It was a bit chaotic! She was friendly though so all is forgiven.

You are RIGHT on the beach which is awesome, room was clean, and you get full size fridge and microwave. We chose partial ocean view. My friends were on a different side to me, and they definitely had the better partial view. I'd suggest you ask for the side opposite to the entry.

supplies (body gel was given but only shampoo, lotion and conditioner), bathroom window was ajar and wasnt possible to close because of swatter (wasn't a big deal though), coffee is an essential and could be provided more :)
