The location is very sketchy. The property has a lot of cameras, which improves the feel of safety but there is still a "social club" and a few nightclubs in the immediate vicinity with questionable patrons. There was no breakfast included. For the place the rate is too expensive, but all the places in Norfolk are overcharging.

The check-in process was fast and the lady at the desk was very friendly. We got there late because my dad arrived late by plane, and this was the only place I was able to find that was affordable. The rooms were clean and the beds comfortable.

The area had a bar , the street was used as a drag strip couldn't sleep well people raced cars , truck motorcycles all night people hung out in the parking lot across the road no police presence at all any other place that wouldn't have went on too long it would have been shut down it was like fast and the furious no street take over, partying , hanging out people were everywhere not just the bar the whole shopping center ,didnt hear 1police car or see , I saw security at the bar 1time you really have to be desperate to stay there, with that going on I was on the 5th floor to make it so bad , nobody mentioned that part I would have went somewhere else the room was on the 5thfloor the elevator was broke I had to climb the stairs I have asthema and a bad knee maybe it was good it was broke didn't happen when I was in there the room window was dirty , had dried paint and a film on it the bathroom wasn't clean fully it had hair behind the toilet matress was hard I used my lysol and wipes other than that the room was clean the socket eyes are loose cord kept Falling out it is a older building it was OK if I could have SLEPT IN PEACE.! I wouldn't complain at all. I even left the TV on to try to drown out the cars no luck the hotel was OK but I never been no where that people hung out like that all night not until 3am all night not get shut down the room needs sound proof windows asap I don't want to know what it would have been i f I was on the 1st floor

I didn't like that the ceiling was leaking in the shower, nor that there wasn't a pool although the sign on the balcony door said there was, the doors were hard to open as if they were painted or glued shut and they had peeling paint on them. I wasn't told until the day of when I called, that the elevator was broken and there wasn't any ice.

I like that it was right across the street from all that we needed while there.

The staff was very rude and never cleaned the room while I was there. I notified them about the bathroom not being cleaned prior to my stay and they said they’d clean and never did.

I stayed 3 different times, so I had 3 different rooms and basically each time it was a little nastier from before. From hair/crumbs in the chair, to dead bugs in the closet to the bath not being cleaned (floor looked dirty, walls had stains) I cleaned the bathroom myself and it look away better when I was done.

The main light is very dim ans all lights are equipped with the more energy efficient but cold-white looking bulbs. I recommend to change them for white warm ones once they’re dead. In my room the refrigerator was quite loud while it was running ans also made all kinds of squeaky sounds. Maybe it needs an inspection. Due to the rooms location near the street, it’s not super quiet. I was still able to sleep well but noise sensitive people may look for one of the newer rooms.

Overall a good stay for the price. The room was clean, room service checked by daily, very friendly and helpful people. You can park your car easily, a lot of stores and restaurants nearby. If you’re looking for a relatively cheap stay and don’t have high class hotel expectations, I could recommend this. I‘ve been in one of the older rooms. They have a separate balcony with two chairs to sit on. The Interior won‘n win any design competition but it was o.k. The older rooms are closer to the street and may therefote be louder than the new ones, which are located behind.
