The most disappointing aspect was the noise. I requested a QUIET room downstairs. The room was downstairs, however even though the motel was not crowded when we checked in, the room we were given was right next to the washer/dryer room. The washing machine went on loudly right after we arrived and continued loudly for quite some time. So it was NOT a relaxing experience,.

We have stayed at ABV inn a number of times. The location is excellent; we walked everywhere around Monterey. The value was good compared to other places in the area.

There was no breakfast, the pool was closed, if we wanted more towels or room supplies we had to get them in the office.

The space for putting toiletries was too small.

All was very good even better than expected. Room was clean with big bathroom. It wasn't modern but equipped in all what was needed ( fridge, coffee machine etc ).

I was not allowed to store my bags afternoon after I checked out but the staff person did allow me to stay an extra hour. The walls here are on the thin side so you can hear your neighbors.

The motel was well located and clean and okay for a nights stay.

Back door broken but secure. Pool & jacuzzi not clean had bird droppings in them. Jacuzzi had mold & not working. No breakfast. I was walking so distance a factor.

Shower was horrible, , the nozzle was hard to move, so I had to stand behind it and use a washcloth to pull the water towards me.

The hotel did look rather run down.

We were concerned about staying here after reading some of the reviews but thankfully all was ok. The room was clean and quiet. There was no housekeeping but we just asked the maid for some clean towels and in the foyer if the hotel you could help yourself to coffee, creamer, tissues, cups etc.

Might be problematic in hot summer without AC.

Spacious room with swimming pool in the backyard that is accessible from each room. many parking spots right in front of the rooms. Check-in and -out were easy. (Fast-food) restaurants in vicinity. Ther is no AC in the room but that was written everywhere. Very cheap price for the room!

Lots of motel options, and this was the cheapest and it was all good. 15 minute walk to town.

Bath tub was the only downside to me. Because I have kids and they take baths there were paint chip particles floating in the bathtub when giving my children a bath.

Honestly everything was great. For the price we didn't expect it to be perfect but it did surpass our expectations. Plenty of parking, quiet, loved the patio setup and the room was clean.

Walls are thin and sometimes you can get a noisy neighbor.

Staff is always helpful and professional. When I have a meeting to attend on my day of arrival, They can usually manage an early checkin for me.

No internet until day two of my visit after pestering staff in reception.

Good location, safe neighbourhood within walking distance of the centre. Would recommend a stay at Monterey for a couple of days and go on a whale watching boat trip, fantastic three hour trip and you get to see whales and dolphins as well as seals and sea otters.

Bathtub was old and funky so didn't get to utilize like I had hoped for my respite weekend but other than that, great room, safe, comfortable property with kind owners/ staff.

Wonky bedside lamp, quite a distance from most food and beach facilities, but that's probably reflected in price. This is a fast road an entrance could be more clearl marked.

Very quiet in spite of busy road outside. Excellent wi-fi reception. Could park adjacent to room. One of the best showers I've had for a long time. Very helpful desk staff.

The property, as a whole, looks slightly tired. Not bad, but a touch-up here and there would make look much better. Also, bringing back the continental breakfast would be good.

The location is good in that it fronts on 2 roads; one, a main thoroughfare, the second, a lesser one. You can enter from either.
