How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

The room, being handicapped was cold. I was severely tired from flying 23 hrs so didn't see a thermostat. It may have been there but I did look. No place to put toiletries in bathroom.
Very clean, very nice staff, comfortable.

Every single week I have to send a credit card authorization to the hotel for my employee who is staying there while we are working on a project nearby. My company uses hotel engine and with over 100 million dollars annually in projects this is the only hotel that I’ve had these problems with. Otherwise high marks on the place.

It was noisy! We could hear the guests in the next room, housekeeping vacuuming, the housekeeping cart rolling around, and staff talking.
The staff were very friendly. The room was small but well appointed and clean. The Old Town Cafe on the premises was delicious and convenient. The downtown area was charming and walkable. We enjoyed the farmers market down the street.

The bed was extremely firm, ac unit was very noisy, bathroom was really small almost difficult to shower in and I’m not a big guy, and the walls could be a little thicker so you can’t hear your neighbors.
It was a quiet place centrally located in Camarillo which is great, the staff was amazing, and the room was very clean.

Bathrooms very small! I’m only 5 feet and 8 inches and weigh 170 lbs (so I’m not a big person get my drift) I could not even sit on the toilet straight due to the placement of your toilet being less than a foot from a wall in front of it! Had to sit sideways and was poorly designed placement for the toilet!

The bed/mattress is old squeaks a lot and very springy.
Location is great walking distance to a nice variety of restaurants and bars. The shopping Outlets are just a five minute drive up the road.

Shower curtain could be upgraded. Everything else was great.

The beds were really hard and the pillows were the worst I think I've ever slept on! They were insanely flat! Gonna have to go to my chiropractor to get adjusted after spending just one night there! Also, if you plan to bring a pet, be sure you call them first to confirm it's ok to have your pet in the room. Apparently they only allow pets on the bottom floor and we didn't know where our suite was located when we booked it, so didn't realize until we got there that we were not allowed to have our pet in the room with us because the suites are on the 2nd floor! Our dog had to sleep in the car. So, bottom line is if you don't have a pet and plan to bring your own pillow then this is a great place to stay!
You can't beat the location of this hotel! It's right in old downtown Camarillo. The rooms were nice and clean. We stayed in one of the suites with 3 beds and it was perfect for our family because each kid got their own bed.

Not very sound proof rooms. Can hear other people talking or their TV. If you book on the hotel website you get a breakfast voucher. Wish I would have known that.
Close to local stores and restaurants. Very friendly staff.

The heater was a little loud but it did it's job keeping us warm through the night. Limited parking space but I was able to find street parking right in front of the property.
Very cute property. Location is nice and quiet. Conveniently located near food and shopping. The room is basic but comfortable and clean; has all the essentials for a good night stay. I liked the Old Town Cafe next door. Very friendly service and 10% discount was great.
