I was traveling for work and when I do that I require a desk in the room so that I can work in the evening, and I always ensure that both the hotel listing and pictures show that as an amenity. In this case as soon as I entered my room I called the front desk because there was no desk or chair. I was told that I booked a "Standard Room" which doesn't include a desk - however neither their own site nor the 3rd party site I booked from listed anything called a "Standard Room", and in addition each room type picture and description ON THEIR OWN SITE shows a desk as an included amenity. I asked if it was possible to upgrade to a different room that included a desk for an additional charge and was told that wasn't possible because I booked through a 3rd party site. I get that the booking didn't go directly through them, but I'm offering to PAY THEM MORE MONEY on top of my original booking, and they couldn't figure out how to make that happen? The hotel was nowhere near full based on the mostly empty parking lot, so my wasted evening ruined this stay for me. Additional note for the hotel, these weren't deal breakers at this price point but fyi that the right receptacle next to the bed in room 422 had no power, and the shower spray valve needs to be replaced. As you can see in the pics even with the shower spray valve pulled up completely, most of the water is still coming out below instead of through the shower head.

The gentleman that checked me in was very friendly, and the location and amenities were on par for the price I paid (~$100). The hotel is in the middle of rebranding from a Best Western to Sonesta Essential, and it seems everything has gotten a "fresh coat of paint" figuratively speaking.

Parking was a problem, luggage transport from car to room? NO COFFEE in the morning was a PROBLEM, that is pretty much all I Wanted!

The only disagreement from my part is that the breakfast time on Saturday is until 9:30am, because I arrived 9:33am and asked the staff who was there to allow me to get the breakfast and the staff told me that it was closed and did not allow me to get at least coffee. Inside there were people eating their breakfast and the food was there and coffee but because I arrived three minutes late she didn't allow me to get breakfast plus she was sarcastic when she talked to me. I left. In my opinion, if someone arrived two or three minute late to the breakfast room, I think the staff should be more flexible because we are the guess and paying for the hotel. I understand if someone got late five plus minutes late, then is more reasonable. This my opinion.
