No coffee available in the lobby until 7:00 am, no complimentary coffee in lobby for guests, no room service other than housekeeping- if no housekeeping there is no replenishing of room coffee - so if we don’t remember to ask, there is no coffee early in the morning. :( Not a huge thing, but desk personnel COULD look up from their phone, smile and say hello at the very least. A couple of them seemed not to care or (one person) annoyed that we disturbed them. It seems that guests should not be made to feel we are an inconvenience.

Location, room amenities, walkable area, workout room. Most personnel were very nice and accommodating- there were exceptions to that.

We had stayed here a couple of times before COVID and enjoyed the complimentary Wine and canapes between 5-7pm. However this time the Happy Hour was between 3-4pm from memory, simply the totally wrong time of day for probably 90% of the guests staying at the Hotel. I would have thought that the 5-7pm time is perfect for everyone and guests could also mingle and share their trips etc together, making this Hotel a really great place to be.

We had a very nice room close to the elevator, that made it quick and easy for us.

Ice machine outside our door. I understand the noise factor when it dispenses ice and it’s use by guests, but at 6:40AM to hear it run for minutes while Staff used it to fill service bins for breakfast station. Why would the facility use this machine and not one in a kitchen or non-hallway staff only area machine. They came back to it at least twice. This was a true I convince and a lack of respect due to the noise and proximity to guest rooms.

Wish there were a make-up swing-out wall mirror and better lighting in the bathroom. Would like to have the microwave higher than floor level. Would prefer a Kuerig to the current coffee maker in the room.

we like the location, the amenities, the Starbucks/Bar/Kitchen. Good food options, friendly staff. our room was comfortable and well appointed! We really appreciate the small fridge and microwave. We love the fitness center’s functional trainer!

The guests in the room next to us had a dog with them, that barked a lot. The housekeeping staff blocks open the door at the end of the hallway to make it easier for them to get in and out. While we understand that they like the convenience, it was very cold when we were in LA and the hallway was freezing, not to mention that it decreases any security that the property may have.

The location of the property is just next to the harbor, which is great. It's also just of PCH, so that makes it convenient to get to/from lots of neighboring places. The lobby has many tables/sitting areas, many with plugs nearby making it a convenient place to do some work or chat. Clearly the property is older in design and given the location, renovations would be expensive, but the location makes up for the dated feel.
