How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Weird parking voucher. Used booking.com and the original charge was charged on my credit card then refunded and charged at the correct rate.
Very clean. Good breakfast with healthy options. Efficient check in

The bed spread was dirty, it had visible scuff but everything else was good. Hard time finding ice machine and had to use vending machines to buy snacks and sodas.
The staff was excellent!

A bit noisy due to the highway being so close. Not bad though.

Our room was on the third floor and between the ice maker next to us and the noises from above it was quite a noisy night!
Manager Anna, Jackie and Betty from the front desk were very helpful when our reservation got mixed up, thanks so much for your assistance!

Breakfast was mediocre. Property felt rundown. Two women were begging in the parking. I felt bad for the women but it gave the impression the parking lot was not safe.
Location is halfway between Florida and Ohio.

The breakfast was the least appealing of any Hampton every visited. It was the first time we didn't stay for breakfast! Sausage patties and the english muffin with 'egg/cheese' topping was it. Didn't see hard boiled eggs or cut up fruit...at a glance just didn't see the usual variety...maybe we didn't look hard enough? Bathroom floor was not swept as well as normal. All the trash cans had liner just resting over the side as opposed to being open and ready to use. Missed the make up removal package.
Location was fine. Beds comfortable. Was nice entering the room and it was set at desirable temp....not freezing cold!

Just a suggestion, A nightstand on both sides of the bed is helpful when you /and your spouse wear glasses and need them as soon as you get up in the morning.
The hotel and our room was very clean. The Breakfast was excellent, service with a smile in the breakfast room. Good food too.

Parking situation is mediocre at best. We arrived with a Truck and enclosed (12' long) enclosed trailer and there was no where to park. We had to park next door and walk thru a empty lot. Parking lot was tight with any kind of pull behind trailer. I didn't see a plastic cover over the mattress, there were coffee rings on the counter from the last customer, and we only had one bath towel. Couldn't figure out how to turn the bathroom fan on? Possibly not working?
Elliott!!! Elliott was working the front desk the evening we arrived. Very professional, great attitude and considering the rude nasty customer in front of me was blaming him for her ignorance, he held his professionalism very well. I had to come back twice for his help and he was extremely kind. Breakfast & dining area was wonderful. Good hot food, nice selection, great atmosphere. 24/7 hot coffee/tea bar was very nice! We had a coffee pot in our room but used the coffee bar. Bed was soft and comfortable. Room had a retro vibe to it. Very fun! Bathroom was clean and fresh.

There was some road noise but that is expected when close to interstate Highway. The Avian water with a five dollar tag. Come on.
The breakfast was typical motel fare, almost exactly the same thing available everywhere. Not a negative. The room was clean and attractively furnished. The room darkening blind was great!
