Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomThe breakfast was fine but not the best I had in other B and Bs.
Cosy B&B with comfortable room and good amenities. We appreciated the Happy Hour goodies and the drinks etc available throughout our visit. Staff are friendly and helpful.

United KingdomOne small drawback of a large house bnb is the lack of space for everyone to have breakfast in the living room area, even though it’s a large living room and with split breakfast times. However, I think that is fully reflected in the cheaper price of this establishment compared to a full line hotel downtown.
Quaint, comfortable, low key and a ten minute walk into town. Away from the busy downtown but not too far. Good value for money. Great for those who want something a bit more authentic / or something different than a standard hotel chain.

United StatesMy husband never got his homemade chocolate chip cookie.....
Everything was so beautifully prepared, and presented to us. The staff was extremely pleasant and accommodating. Breakfast each day was delicious! The building/ guest house was well cared for, and in perfect condition and the grounds/ landscaping were delightful with fruit trees and rose bushes just starting to blossom! There was also a hummingbird nest that was pointed out to us!

United StatesThe breakfast offered was very good, however a few more options would be very nice.
Blackbird Inn is in a fabulous location. Easily walkable to restaurants and shops. The Inn is lovely and the staff was very helpful and friendly . Also, we had allergies in our party and they were very accommodating for breakfast items that were safe for us.

United StatesOur bed was a little on the overly firm side for my taste. I have some hip/low back issues, so it wasn't the most ideal. Also, our room was on the second floor - heat rises. It was quite warm, even without the room fireplace going. We ended up opening the windows each night for a little cool down and fresh air.
I've always wanted to stay here, but have never been able to get in on a weekend....fortunately we were able to get in for a mid-week stay. This is a beautifully and lovingly restored Craftsman style B&B...the stone fireplace is a great place to gather in the evening for happy hour wine and charcuterie. The home baked chocolate chip cookies and Danish butter cookies are a fantastic bonus! Our breakfasts consisted of homemade ham and bell pepper frittata, blueberry muffins, scrambled eggs on toast, fresh fruit, coffee, tea, juice. The B&B is walking distance from day spas, and the downtown area for shopping, eating, wine tasting, etc. Our hostess, Nicole, was a gem - fun, informative, accommodating, and an overall sweet person.

NorwayI think the hotel was very dark and old inside. Small room, and small bathroom. Missed a place to sit outside. Traffic outside the window.
The hotel was ok. Good breakfast, and good location. Happy hour very nice with some snacks and wine.

United StatesThe room we stayed in felt cramped-not enough room to open and lay out our suitcases, and with window to the street had regular traffic noise. It would have been nice to have our own refrigerator, but there would be little room for this. We would look for a different/bigger room next time.
The breakfast was outstanding- creative and complete- The vibe in the shared space is cozy. The indoor and outdoor spaces are meticulously kept- Access to soft drinks etc was nice.

United StatesSits on the corner where two busy streets intersect - noise & traffic. No garden area to enjoy peace and quiet away from the street sound’s and activity. Breakfast was disappointing. Everyone had to eat the same warmed up food; did not taste fresh or hot; not enough seating; no outdoor seating.
Architectural and design features - arts and crafts style - wood panelling, natural materials, unique lamps, leaded glass panels and stained glass window treatments. Wine hour; front porch; convenient to public transit.

There was a happy hour right after we checked in, it was so welcoming and we met guests from all over the country! We were in walking distance to downtown, with shops, restaurants and wine bars. Breakfast the next morning was delicious!

United StatesWhat could have been better was the lighting in the bathroom. It was hard to put on makeup because it seemed rather dim. Also they had nice pillows but they were too round for me. Like a balloon they seemed like they were full of air and I couldn’t get it out, they did not mold around your head and neck. I mostly slept without a pillow. Overall we loved the location, the place, the food and the people!
It was a cozy, charming place. The breakfast was decent. The staff was great! I loved that they had coffee/tea, soda, hot water available at all times. They also provided drinking and wine/champagne glasses (not just paper cups) I loved the fireplace!

United StatesUnfortunately our room was #1, just by check in and with a wall butting up to the area in which the yummy happy hour and breakfast was held, so a bit loud, and also traffic, so I’d say request any other room and they would get a 10!
Great staff, amenities and location
